This charging station is the way it should be - just like gas stations - there is a roof above the charger and the car. There are trash cans, brushes, and cleaner fluid for the car window. What a luxury for the EV drivers. There are four CCS charging cables total, and the first one worked for me. This is the first 5-star charging station I have had in my two years of driving an EV.
- JSJason SanbornMar 30, 20253.0All 4 spots were open upon arrival. This is good but I think I know why...The first station I plugged into kept disconnecting after only a few minutes charging. I then moved to the next spot over and found out it was not operating due to a coolant issue which I only found out after parking, plugging in, and waiting for a few moments. I then moved to the third spot which ultimately charged issue free. Kind of frustrating and not very cheap either. I paid about the equivalent of what it would have cost me to fill up with a similar ICE vehicle. Unfortunate. Hard to believe there is no financial incentive on the fueling side of the equation of owning an EV, especially since $/kWh are not leveraged in any way to pay road tax which would make sense. Also worth noting that I also found the location of the charging island to not be in the location Google maps or any other apps says it is. I have suggested an edit within Goog maps...we'll see if they update.
