Absolutely trash I dropped my vehicle off at 12:30 for my 1pm appointment. I was told it would take 2 to 3 hours after 5 hours the technician could not get my truck to start and had no idea what was wrong. They even said they deprogrammed my key and that was the issue so I called and paid for a mobile locksmith to come out and turns out it was not the key and so I left. At 830 that night I got a call from a different technician that had to go out there and fix it. He told me my truck was done and that he had to re do the work and I could pick up my truck. So I go the next day to get my truck and can’t get ahold of anyone for awhile finally they have one of the barbers from next store come over and give me my keys but there device would not work and after another 4 hours of dealing with the barber and intoxalock trying to get it fixed because nobody from the shop would come figure it out my truck was still stuck there with no answers from them. I highly recommend going anywhere else. You would be better off having a 2nd grader do your install you would definitely get the same result but customer service would be better.

Intoxalock is a rip off & their customer service is the worst. Their fees are ridiculous and charge you for any little thing. No alcohol in my system and the device read “high BAC” and charged me…. When there was NO alcohol in my system. That’s bs. No help with customer service. Just a loop going in circles.
Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock
How does an interlock device work?
An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. To read more on Intoxalock, you can read our ignition interlock device guide.
What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?
The installation of an ignition interlock device, often called a car breathalyzer, typically costs between $70 and $150. This one-time fee is paid at the start of your lease and covers the service center's labor to install the device in your vehicle. Payment is made directly to the service center at the time of installation. For more on cost breakdowns, you can read our cost of ignition interlock device guide.
How do I use my interlock device?
Using an IID is simple. To start your vehicle, blow into the device as directed. If the device detects no alcohol, your car will start. You may be prompted for "rolling retests" while driving, where you’ll blow into the device again to confirm compliance. How-to videos are also available on the Intoxalock mobile app.
