Then the asked me if I wanted to replace my air filter that was so new it was still white. You have convinced me to start doing my own vehicle maintenance from now on so I thank you for that.
- KCKevin CroxtonDec 27, 20251.0Ever since Jiffy Lube took over this oil change garage, they charge much more than the previous owners, and every time we come in, tell tell us all of these things that need to be done to our car. If we did them all, we wouldn’t get out of there for less than 500 bucks. I know that businesses are trying to make money, but their approach is pretty shady. While I was waiting for my car today, there was another lady waiting as well, and they came in and told her the exact same things that needed to be done to her car. She informed them that she had a company car, the warranty had just run out and all she could do is change her oil. They came back and told her that they couldn’t change her oil, because some screws were ground down on the skid plate and that she should take it back to where she got it and have them do it. It was very suspicious. I’ve never seen anybody turned down for an oil change. Bottom line….. I’ve known for a while that the practices of this Jiffy Lube, which just took over the establishment, are a bit shady. I’m tired of the higher prices and them trying to persuade my family to pay for all these extra things on our vehicles. They are convenient as they can get you right in to get your oil changed, But I think I’ll plan ahead and make an appointment somewhere else next time.
