I hired KASS to do a strip and paint on my airplane in late 2022. Prior to drop off, all my window glass were replaced, a new glass panel as well as interior removed. This was conveyed to Keith prior to and was a concern to protects from the beginning. We also discussed it had light hail and I wanted the dents filled less control surfaces and he agreed. Communication was great until I noticed he painted the stripe colors first then the rest of the airplane white last. This is quite backwards as your lines will become thicker and doing a cut and buff afterwards will make it look worse. When I asked about why the plane was not painted white first he responded by saying it was to save on materials and it would go quicker. Although the paint looks good from 3-4 feet away, as you get closer the orange peel, light spots and poor bondo work starts to show. More importantly, Keith kept telling me he was getting busy and was trying to get a contract with ATP flight schools and painting their fleet so I felt as if mine was rushed out to get theirs in. Upon arrival for pickup of my airplane I noticed quite a few things: two large chips in the paint on my nose pant from their tug, every piece of NEW glass damaged by their paint stripper (see pictures below), unsecured flap bolts from his IA with no tools or an IA to remedy on site, bad orange peel, a few runs as well as my glass instrument panel covered in a dusting of overspray. I have since spent $14,000 to correct the paint issues, replace windows, clean the glass panel and replace incorrect flap rollers that was caught at annual. Before flying home I fixed the hand tightened flap bolts, asked about the glass and what he was going to do about it as well as the orange peel and his response was "I just want my clients to love my work". I left, did not pay the remaining balance of $1800 because there was no solution offered onsite. I have since sent communications with photos of the damage and an invoice for just the window repairs with no answer or solution. This is bad business and I would never recommend Keith or KASS aviation to anyone.
