- NWNathan WeissOct 28, 20241.0The battery went out on our 2014 Honda CRV. I called on Sunday October 27th to get a price on a battery. I was told over the phone that they start out at $139 and range upwards into the high 200s. I said okay and that we would be there sometime this week to pick up that $139 battery. My wife goes in without me while I'm at work and is told that the only battery she can get is the $219 battery. I called the location in sumiton just to confirm the battery price and was told the same thing I was told on Sunday. I will never be using this location again and I hope that whoever talked to My wife and lied to her either adjust the way they view things or finds a different job that does not involve customer service.

The lady at this advance took the time to look into another option that would work. She found me a bolt ( that worked perfect), just by taking a little extra time to go above and beyond. I wasted hours at the other parts stores when if I would of went there first, it would of taken 10 minutes… Thanks

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
