I took my car to Express a couple months back and they told me I had 3 oil leaks.. First oil leak was replaced and it went off without a hitch (even though car was still smoking and showing low oil almost 2 weeks after repair). Took car back for oil filter housing gasket replacement and as soon as we got the car back it was spewing coolant out of the coolant reservoir. Immediately took it back and he claimed it was just an o ring.. Put that on, drove car home and it was fine until 2 am when I had to drive my husband to work.. An 8 minute drive turned into 2 hours and thank god their business was close by because we had to drop off the car and walk a mile to get to his job in freezing temps.. I had literally just given birth too... I'm lucky my little newborn wasn't with me while I had to walk that.. Anyway.. Few days passed at their shop and they pawned me off to another mechanic that wants to replace my now malfunctioning water pump for $3500. Mind you I just had this water pump and hoses replaced ONE YEAR prior.. Honestly, I should have said no.. You laid your hands on it and it was running just fine until you did whatever you did.. It probably wasn't intentional but somewhere down the line you made a mistake because there's NO WAY a practically new water pump should malfunction like this.. So.. Now BMW has looked at the car... I don't know if the oil filter housing gasket was truly spewing oil (I also had that replaced 3 years prior, but hey you try to trust people right??) but the rear valve cover is leaking oil. That's where the oil leak was truly coming from. By the way they pawned me off on someone else I suspect that they took me for a ride and did $1200 in useless repairs that probably weren't even necessary. Now I am stuck with a car that won't move and costs more in repairs than I even owe on it.. I think they know what the right thing would be to do, but they probably won't do it... You got your money so who cares huh?? These people might be able to change oil on a car (I personally wouldn't even trust that anymore) but they can not do actual engine work.. Period.. And the total lack of care and professionalism will keep me away from this place forever..
