  Stopped by the tire store at 11:30 to have a flat tire repaired if possible on a Ram 4500 dally. Was told it would be an hour before a bay opened up. I said that was fine. Three hours later they pulled my truck around to their 14,000 pound lift. The mechanic then informed me that since the GVWR on my truck says 16,500 lbs he couldn’t put it on his 14,000 pound lift. I tried to explain to him that the GVWR was the max safe weight the truck was rated for and the actual curb weight was only 8,400 pounds. He said he knew what he was talking about and the actual curb weight empty was what was listed as the GVWR. I was upset that I waited for three hours only to be turned away by a mechanic who probably had no business working on my truck.

  I have been going to Tuffy since I moved to Pelham 5 years ago. I dont know much about cars except the basic maintenance and so I feel like I could be taken advantage of by car repair businesses. This has never been the case. At this location they have been very honest: up front with me about costs and what should be done now versus what can wait. They inspected my car before I bought it and have been wonderful to work with. I am very grateful to work with this Tuffy

  The workers at Tuffy were so nice & very informative! The lady at the front desk explained everything to me & was the sweetest! I sat in the lobby for some time waiting & she was so professional with every person who came in and person who called.
