- TRtammy richardsonSep 21, 20251.0Tried calling monroeville, AL advance auto today 7/21/25 to ask about a warranty. Was told to call back and talk to sales manager tomorrow. Then I just asked for info for when I called back and was put on hold to take care of said customer that was in store... was on hold for 10 min +... I hung up... a customer is a customer regardless if they are on the phone needing info or in front of you at the store. My husband was a store manager at Carquest before advance bought them out and he would have never allowed this kind of behavior from his employees... I will use auto zone or oreillys from now on...

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward.
