I had to have 2 major recalls done, one involved changing the fuel pump, transmission fluid change, and brake fluid change done and it took only 3 hours. Very fast and stellar service. I will definitely come back here for my periodic maintenance and repairs. Pricing wasn’t cheap but it was no more than what other shops would charge. Thanks for the short wait and the great service!

I called to negotiate a price prior to making the 2 hour drive as to not waste my time. We agreed to take $1,000 off the original price, so I drove to the lot. When we began to discuss price, they said were going to add on their standard "required warranty" fee, and not take off the $1k as previously discussed. When pressed as to why they lied about the price, they said that they do not do negotiations over the phone, and if it was not discussed in writing it is not legit. Obviously I walked away, as they had just lied to my face, and these were not people I wanted to do business with or trust.
The next day, I received a text asking how my experience was. I responded not great. They stated that they had gone back and listened to the call that I had with the salesman, and said that there was no mention of a price reduction. This yet again was a lie, as the first thing the salesman said to me when we arrived to the table to discuss was "I know we discussed taking $1,000 off the price...".
So not only did they lie about the price, they also lied about the call as it was very clearly discussed.
I would give 0 stars if I could. These are not people I would ever do business with, and would not recommend them to anybody.

I’ve been getting my car serviced here for over three years and I have never had a problem. Customer service is top notch! My go to advisor is Justin Gibbs and he’s the best. He is super knowledgeable and is able to help me understand any issues I may have going on with my car. I highly recommend this dealership and make sure you ask for Justin!

I saw a vehicle on line and made an appointment to see it. I was given the Hwy 72 store to see it. I arrived there and the vehicle they brought me to was not the one I made the appointment to see. This vehicle was more $ than I planned on spending. Bait and switch #1? I was told the vehicle I was interested in was at the Leeman Ferry store. I went there. They went to get the vehicle and returned and stated the vehicle was already sold but they offered another vehicle. Bait and switch #2? I called the Hwy 72 store back to see if they could do any better on the price of the bait and switch vehicle. They contacted me back later and stated the price was firm. So, whole ordeal was a big waste of time and left me with nothing but negative ratings for Shottenkirk which I will share with my network.

SHOTTENKIRK HONDA HUNTSVILLE — Especially if you're a first-time car buyer.
As a sister, I’m heartbroken and furious about what happened to my brother at this dealership — specifically with John Peltz in the finance department.
My brother had been working overtime for months, saving up to buy his first new car. It was a huge accomplishment for him — something he was incredibly proud of. Like so many young people, he walked into that dealership with hope, excitement, and trust.
But instead of being treated with respect and honesty, he was taken advantage of.
After he chose his car and moved into the finance portion, he sat down with John Peltz. That’s when things went downhill. John aggressively pushed an Extended Maintenance Plan, even after my brother clearly and repeatedly declined it. But John wouldn’t let it go. He kept pressuring him, even claiming that he had this same coverage on all 17 of his own vehicles.
Eventually, he scribbled a note on a piece of paper saying the plan could be canceled within 30 days for a full refund. Exhausted and worn down, my brother reluctantly agreed.
The very next day, my brother went back to cancel it — twice asking for it to be removed. They even shook hands on it. John pretended to process the cancellation — literally tapped a key on the keyboard like it was done — but it was never actually canceled.
Now my brother, a first-time buyer who did everything right — saved, asked questions, and stood his ground — is stuck paying for something he never wanted. And the worst part? He trusted that handshake. He trusted the dealership. And they let him down.
This isn't just about money. It's about integrity. And young buyers, especially, deserve to be guided, not manipulated. What happened here wasn’t a misunderstanding. It was a deliberate act to squeeze more money out of someone who was new to this process and put his trust in the wrong hands.
So I'm putting this out there not just as a sister trying to stand up for her brother, but as someone who cares about others going through this same rite of passage. Don’t let your excitement blind you to red flags. Don’t let anyone at Shottenkirk Honda — or any dealership — pressure you into something you’re unsure about.
And please — do not sit down with John Peltz in finance. Ask for someone else. Bring someone with you. Read everything twice.
To Shottenkirk Honda: Is this really how you want to be known? As a place that preys on young, inexperienced buyers to pad your commission checks?
