This place is awful! Zero accountability. They have no clue what is going on and refuse to return calls. Be careful when renting as well. There is no effort to document any damage, as it must be substantial enough for them to take note. After several issues and nearing the end of my need for a rental, freezing temps set in. What must have been a chip in the windshield turned into a crack. Regardless you will be held responsible. These people will tell you what you want to hear, until there is an issue. Enterprise, I see you comment to reach out to address any issues. How about you reach out, my names posted and it’s in your system.

    1. Initial Failure and Corporate Apathy The first vehicle provided (Jeep Compass #1, 6 Jan 2026) was mechanically unsound. Upon identifying a failing battery and multiple dashboard warning lights, I contacted Corporate. The suggestion to "wait for a breakdown" before acting is an unacceptable safety standard. Despite promises that a local manager would contact me, I received zero communication and had to call myself and attempted to meet management, a female assistant manager took my phone call and told me to come back and see her. Upon arrival I was told she was not there and was serviced by the original customer service rep that gave me the Jeep as a rental who then proceeded to assign me another Jeep Compass (#2). 2. Documented Mechanical Neglect (Vehicle #1) Upon exchanging the first vehicle at the Jordan Lane location, I was presented with a Jeep Compass that was dangerously overdue for maintenance: Maintenance: The dashboard indicated an immediate need for service; the window sticker indicated the oil had not been changed in 16,000 miles. Electrical Failure: During my 37-mile (one-way) daily commute, the "Service Charging System" light became persistent. Voltage dropped to 11.2V, indicating a failing alternator or battery—a defect that leaves a driver at risk of total power loss at highway speeds. 3. Critical Safety Risks (Vehicle #2) The second exchange has proven to be equally, if not more, hazardous. The Jeep Compass #2, 15 Jan 2026, exhibits signs of severe drivetrain neglect: Drivetrain & Tires: The vehicle is equipped with three different brands of tires (Firestone Starfire, and Suredrive). On an AWD system, mismatched tread patterns and diameters create significant driveline stress and heat. This is coupled with a "growling" speed-sensitive wobble that starts around 50 mph. Safety Systems: The Collision System light remains illuminated, rendering the vehicle’s primary safety features inoperable. Cosmetic/Structural: Poorly executed windshield replacement with adhesive residue indicates a lack of basic inspection or quality control. Conclusion: I spent more time performing maintenance and safety inspections on Enterprise’s fleet than I would normally do on my own vehicles. Having been charged for an "upgrade" by Enterprise from a Toyota Camry to an SUV (2 Jeep Compass SUV's) while providing vehicles that are mechanically unfit for the road, I would at a minimum like to "upcharge" waived, my 2 hours to and from Enterprise location should be worth at least that. I will give props to the Guntersville Enterprise office, they understood the frustration caused by the issues I was subjected to with the two in a row Jeep vehicles. The local manager ensured she had a vehicle that was safe, clean, and worthy of representing their office. The Enterprise office on Jordan Lane in Huntsville is simply just not concerned with customer care, safety, or Corporate image. My Insurance Claims adjuster had to get involved and quickly was subjected to the same frustrations I was subjected to during a three way call, to say the Enterprise customer service/assistance sucks is an understatement and a clear description. Just to bring attention to it once again, both the Corporate customer service rep wanted me to wait until I had a break down to get assistance, a supervisor or manager was requested by the insurance adjuster and said the same thing, call road side assistance to get help, thats what they are there for. The suggestion to "wait for a breakdown" before acting is an unacceptable safety standard/practice. Update 27 Feb 27 - Responded to Customer Service within 24 hours and provided requested information NO RESPONSE! Over 2 weeks ago I was told it was going to management with priority. They got their money and ran.. #NotOneMoreEnterpriseRental
