The car salesman Tyrone Hurley was an amazing person to work with on my first experience to buying a car!!! He made sure to answer my questions thoroughly , very well spoken and made sure to make me feel as comfortable as possible. As a new car owner, Shottenkirk Honda in Decatur with Tyrone Hurley as the car salesman is the place to go!

I had them replace my head gasket in July of 2024 and the head gasket they installed failed not even 2 years later it failed after 36,000 miles and they didn’t want to fix their mistake they made they only offered 500 dollars off of a 3000 dollar repair bill after I paid them 5000 the first time they did it they expect you to pay twice for the work they do. I do not recommend this place to anyone for any work they do.
I originally went in for a service on my 2016 Honda Pilot but ended up having to get a new car after my engine completely seized up on me. Talon was very good at getting my service requests done, then passed me off to James in order for me to get a new car. I settled on a 2018 Honda Accord after driving a RAV4. The RAV4 had too many miles on it for the price, so James and Jesse settled me in the accord. I was there all day but liked how James was able to get the Accord completely detailed with new tires and a new fuel pump. Mike brought me over the finish line with the paperwork and after about 9 hours I was able to complete the deal. Even though the transaction took awhile everyone was professional and patient in getting the deal I wanted complete with a 3 year warranty. Recommend doing business here because the staff will bend over backwards to help. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and get the deal and vehicle YOU want.

If I could give them a negative star I would. Bought a used truck and was told that I would get 1 free oil change and all points inspection within 6 months. I call and set up the appointment and explain that this was my 1 free oil change. I get there this morning at 7:00 AM and they explain that they don’t have a record of it and that they supposedly called me yesterday but I don’t have a record of that and no msg was left. They said I needed a paper that says we owe you. So how do I go to the service department, set a date with them and they not have a record of it? The woman even told me that she has me on the calendar but I have to have the paper. How convenient for them not to give me the paper. So just know when making a deal with them to get everything they say recorded , on paper and notarized by a judge.
Once they've got your money, expect zero customer service.
I purchased a vehicle from this dealership in 2025; sale was uncomplicated and overall a pleasant experience.
However, the dealership did not submit a necessary tax rebate form to the IRS – I did not realize this until early 2026. Attempts to get in touch with anyone in the finance department to get this form submitted have been essentially fruitless. I have left messages with numerous members of the staff, but I am always told that I will get a call back. With 10+ messages left, I have received zero callbacks and am forced to simply decline to leave a message and instead wait on hold. After a few minutes of holding, I will typically be told that everyone is away from their desks and cannot be found or contacted in any way. I have spoken with the finance manager twice using this strategy but the form still has not been submitted as far as I can tell. I am at a total loss as I have essentially no recourse besides taking off work and driving an hour to the dealership.
I would strongly recommend staying away from this dealership. It is obvious that the in-office culture strongly encourages ignoring any task that does not directly lead to revenue/commissions for the company. I've spent hours of my life on the phone trying to get a simple tax form submitted; I cannot even imagine what a nightmare they would be to deal with for a warranty claim or similar.
I'd like to personally name finance department employees Jesse and Alex as the superstars of ducking phone calls, but I've left voicemail complaints with the GM which were ignored as well.
