  I was a bit concerned because I saw several complaints in the reviews, but the service is efficient. The staff is very straightforward, they don’t pressure you into purchasing insurance, and the security deposit was low for an SUV (€390). However, you do need a physical international credit card in the name of the person who made the reservation in order to pay the security deposit. That is a standard requirement and normal procedure with any car rental company.

  INA helped us with our rental . She was very kind with us. we had an automatic car, easy to travel and drive in albania ! Thank you . We recommand this rental company.

  Aunque el personal fue amable y no tuve nongun problema con el coche, despues de pagar un coche grande porque eramos 5, nos han dado un mg que le costaba subir una simple cuesta. Ademas, devolver el coche en sarande ha sido un caos: la oficina no esta donde te marca el maps, hay carteles de parking car rental que son un engaño, pues te cobran y no es donde hay que dejar el coche. Y sumar a todo esta (y esto ya no es culpa de la agencia) el trafico infernal de la ciudad.

  Easy pick up and drop off. Friendly welcoming staff helped us sort a problem with ease. Half way through our trip, when we were in Bosnia ( in the middle of nowhere) there was a problem with the car battery. We contacted Alamo who instructed us to take to a nearby auto-repair and they would refund us any money paid. Unfortunately that didn't work out and we were very worried. Sorela Allaraj helped arrange a mobile repair man to attend and change the battery.. Honestly she was so helpful and we were grateful. The office at the airport returned the money to us in cash with no issue. Would definitely recommend Alamo.

  I honestly don’t understand the negative comments about “ Surprisingly I had to use a credit card for a security deposit” - when I booked the car via Check24 it was written in nearly every second sentence that a credit card is necessary for having a security deposit in case something happens. This should be common knowledge when booking a rental car, the guys behind the counter are simply doing their jobs. Overall I can’t say anything negative about Alamo Tirana. The dude behind the counter was very friendly, gave recommendations of restaurants in our estimated route, and generally provided an outstanding support. Yeah, you’ll need to walk a couple of steps to the nearby parking spot/ building, but that shouldn’t be an issue. “4th floor” is pretty self explanatory. Also there are signs above the parking slots, so nothing to worry about. The guys handing out the cars were absolutely friendly and chatty, also gave recommendations for possible trips. So - great experience, great service. Would book again any time.
