- KSKevin slackDec 16, 20251.0I called state farm to start a claim on my windshield and was called back promptly but the earliest appointment was 2 weeks away so they could order my windshield. I had to make an in person appointment because the vehicle had to be calibrated after the repair. I was told my appointment was at 930 am so i dropped it off at 8 am i was told i would get a call when it was ready. Their hours say 8am - 5pm so i attempted to call every number safelite has listed on the internet just to hear we can not complete your call try again some other time. I then tried the chat bot and text message but once again no human could be reached. I left work early at 430 to make sure i was there by 5 just to see my car had not even been touched. I asked why it hadn't been touched when i had a 930 appointment and was told i signed up for all day drop off so that means i might get it back in a couple of days. I didn't sign up for anything i was told the earliest appointment was 930 on December 15th so i accepted it. I went home not happy at all. I was told my windshield would still be done that night if i wanted to come back around 630 or 7 to get it. I got an email at 630 saying my vehicle was done so i grabbed my wife and we drove up there in a wind storm just to find all the lights out and no one there so i guess that wasn't true either. I wake up this morning to a text from midnight saying my windshield was done and then another saying my windshield replacement has started so which one is it. Now its the next day and my wife has to find a ride to go pick up her car since i have to leave for work before they open. Moral to the story is don't believe anything they say about your appointment don't even think about contacting a human to help you and expect a 2 day turn around at the least for your vehicle. Needless to say nothing went right with this experience and i can only hope they installed the windshield right and calibrated it or i get the joy of taking more time off to take it back.
