  I am extremely dissatisfied with the vehicle I was given. I rented a 4WD vehicle for a winter weekend in Fairbanks during a snowstorm, and instead I was provided with a 2WD vehicle that was completely inappropriate and unsafe for those conditions. The car became stuck in a parking lot and I was unable to access several locations I had planned to visit. Driving it felt unsafe throughout the trip. The tires were clearly not suitable for snow conditions, and three of them appeared old and worn. This should never happen in a location like Fairbanks, especially during a winter storm weekend. Providing a 2WD vehicle to a tourist under those circumstances is irresponsible. It put me in a stressful and potentially dangerous situation. If a customer reserves and pays for 4WD in Alaska in winter, that is not optional equipment. It is a safety requirement. This vehicle should not be part of the winter fleet in Fairbanks. At a minimum, staff should verify road conditions and ensure that customers receive vehicles that are appropriate for extreme weather. This experience significantly affected my trip and my safety. I expect better judgment, better vehicle maintenance, and better adherence to confirmed reservations in the future.

  We told enterprise we had a reservation at Arctic Igloo Resort. They insisted this location was in a restricted area - it isn't; the staff just mistook this resort for another that has a completely different name. They told us to call our bank to see about changing our reservation to be one day, because we would not be going to the resort until later in the weekend. After we get off the phone with the bank, enterprise then tells us that they won't rent to us at all, because they don't trust that we won't go to the restricted zone. Which, again, isn't where our resort was located. They also said that they can't refund us (we need to call the bank to do that) and that if we want further help, we can call enterprise after the weekend. The incompetence, laziness, and rudeness are abound in truly remarkable quantities. Not only do I distrust this location, but I'm disinclined to rent from Enterprise generally, if this is the quality of their assistance.

  Rental agent was extremely helpful. First time in Alaska she made sure we were well prepared for our first driving experience

  Agent lied to us about our hotel being in a restricted area. They were so mean to us. THANK GOD for the ABSOLUTE ANGEL AT HERTZ! Hertz rented us a car and completely saved the day! Would have used the enterprise support link, but they aren't available for 3 days from this incident
