The Enterprise Family is extremely professional, helpful, caring, courteous, and very kind. I so appreciate all they did for me. Thank you, Enterprise.

The vehicle was OK, however, all season radial tires are not adequate for Alaska winter road conditions, Adequate snow tires are needed for basic safety. Unfortunately, that is not an option with Enterprise.

Prices super cheap in winter time, but please do not confuse this place with the airport Enterprise, this place is way better!!!

I wanted to finally leave a review for the Enterprise Anchorage location because, after a not-so-great experience in Fresno, I was reminded of just how exceptional Anchorage truly was. My experience there happened about three years ago, but it has stayed with me ever since.
I had just hit a moose, my SUV was totaled, but the moose got up and walked away (because of course it did). Meanwhile, my own life felt completely upside down. I lived on the outskirts of the city, pretty rural, and this happened during a year when we had record snowfall. Losing my only vehicle out of nowhere was overwhelming, and I was scrambling to figure out what to do next.
My insurance reached out to Enterprise, and when they called me, I told them I needed a minute because I had literally just lost my car. Despite everything, I still went to work that day, even though I had no way to get home unless I Ubered.
That’s when the employee, whose name I really wish I remembered (something simple like Nick, Josh, Steve, Daniel… one of those classic names!) went above and beyond. He actually came to pick me up from my workplace. I was trying so hard not to cry when he asked how my day was, and all I could manage was, “I’ve had better.”
He didn’t pry or make anything awkward. He just handled everything with patience, compassion, and calm professionalism.
He got me into a rental quickly and treated me like someone going through a genuinely stressful moment, not just another customer. That kind of kindness stays with you.
I’ve rented from Enterprise in several states since then, and most experiences have been good, but the Anchorage location is still the gold standard for me. They truly went above and beyond during one of the hardest days I’d had, and even though this review is years late, they absolutely deserve it.

This is my recent experience with Enterprise, and I wish it were the first bad one, but it is not.
Enterprise handed me a “standard” vehicle here in Alaska, while assuring me it had “winter” tires. If a cheap well used all season counts as a winter tire in their world, then my Yukon might as well be a Lamborghini Urus by that logic. Adjust your “standard” vehicle to seasonal change. Alaska is not a place where a front wheel drive with bargain tires qualifies as reasonable transportation for anyone, much less a family with kids.
Renting a small front wheel drive with low budget all season tires in Alaska, in the snow, to a family of five, is basically a shrug disguised as customer service. I would honestly feel better putting my family in a horse carriage and pulling it myself than relying on a company this inconsiderate and unprofessional. After this, I will be convincing my employer to avoid booking with Enterprise at all cost.
The pickup process was not any better. When the driver arrived, he yelled out “Who is waiting for Enterprise.” I responded along with another customer. We got in, and not even a minute into the ride I told him I needed their other location. He answered by saying he would not take me there and told me to change my reservation to his location. I eventually had to get my insurance representative involved just to get the vehicle I was supposed to get in the first place.
The vehicle itself was clean. The fuel level was not full, yet I am sure they will have no issue charging me as if it was.
Enterprise needs better customer service training. Employees who have no business working with customers should be kept away from customers entirely. This is my soapbox. Enterprise needs to do better.
