Our Sylvan Lake Fountain Tire store promises to provide you quality tires and auto repair services. Our tire shop is committed to its customers and community.
I've purchased 8 tires from Fountain Tire in BC and they offered free flat tire repair and free tire rotation. Today I found out the Fountain Tite in Alberta doesn't offer free flat tire repair and only offers free tire rotation. I believe all Fountain tire companies should honor and offer the same services. It was very disappointing specially when you spend several thousands dollars buying tires from them. I had to go to canadian Tire for service and they offer free flat tire service when you purchase the tire from them.i guess Fountain tire lost my business.

Devon and his staff are awesome. Twice in the past couple weeks I had to use them for separate issues. Both times they got me in, gave me a fair quote and did a great job. I highly recommend them

As a young woman who’s still learning when it comes to vehicles, I went to Fountain Tire looking for honest advice about my tires. I brought my car in for a wheel balance, and they took the time to explain what was actually going on and guide me toward the right solution. It turned out a different shop had sold me a faulty tire.
What stood out to me most was that they didn’t try to charge me for unnecessary work or make money off something that wasn’t even the issue. I genuinely felt like they cared more about helping me than profiting off me.
In past experiences with mechanics, I’ve often felt talked down to or overcharged because I didn’t know enough. That wasn’t the case here. I was treated with respect, everything was explained clearly, and I never felt pressured to spend more than necessary.
This is a shop you can trust to have your best interest at heart. For women especially who just want straightforward service without being taken advantage of, this is the kind of place that actually delivers.

Very friendly staff, got in the next day. Never heard a bad word about this place. I would say it’s the most trustworthy place to take your vehicle in sylvan lake!
Tires wear out over time, and how long they last depends on things like road conditions, driving habits, inflation, and temperature. The best way to know when to replace them is to check them regularly.
Common ways to measure tread include the following.
- Tread wear bars: When these are flush with the tread, it’s time to replace.
- Coin test: If too much of the coin shows, your tread is low.
- Tread depth gauge: The most accurate way to measure.
If your tread is low or you see cracks, bulges, or notice vibration, come see us.
What are some signs my vehicle is out of alignment?
It doesn’t take much to throw your alignment off—potholes, curbs, or just everyday driving. Poor alignment can lead to faster tire wear and poor handling.
Common signs include:
- Vehicle pulls to one side
- Crooked steering wheel
- Uneven tire wear
- Loose or unstable steering
- Vibration in the steering wheel
If something feels off, we’re happy to take a look.
What’s included in the seasonal car care package?
Our seasonal car care package gets your vehicle ready for the weather ahead. It includes:
- Fresh engine oil and filter
- Chassis lubrication (as needed)
- Charging and starting system check
- Brake inspection
- Fluid top-ups
- Belt and hose inspection
- Battery test
- Tire and pressure check
- Heating/cooling system check
- Lights, wipers, and overall safety check
It’s a great way to make sure your vehicle is ready for the season.
What do the numbers on my tires mean?
The numbers on your tire’s sidewall tell you the size, load rating, and speed rating.
Example: 225/55R17 97H
- 225 – Tire width (mm)
- 55 – Height as a % of width
- R – Radial construction
- 17 – Wheel diameter (inches)
- 97 – Load rating (how much weight it can carry)
- H – Speed rating (maximum safe speed)
These numbers help us match you with the right tire.
When should I put my winter tires on?
A good rule of thumb: when you can see your breath — about 7°C and below. At that temperature, all-season tires start to harden, while winter tires stay flexible and grippy. Booking early helps you beat the rush.
