I am still on hold again today going on 45 minutes...this is ridiculous...maybe time to rethink my insurance for a company that gives a crap about my time as well
- CCCarol CollinMar 21, 20265.0AMA Edmonton Review The experience started off rough. It took about four hours for the driver to get to us, which felt excessive…even for this time of year. I understand it can be busy, but I’ve had other towing companies arrive in under 40 minutes. The app wasn’t helpful either, as it was down. Once the driver accepted the call, it finally updated…but then it sent him to the Terwillegar area instead of Trumpeter, even though we had entered the correct address. The poor guy ended up about 20 minutes away from us, navigating a large flat deck through the wrong neighbourhood, which couldn’t have been easy. That said, Chris completely turned things around. He showed up in great spirits, cracked jokes, and was efficient and professional once he arrived. He made a tough situation much better. I needed my van towed to a local shop, and everything went smoothly from that point on. I would call AMA again…but honestly, that’s because of Chris. It’s people like him who can take a negative experience and make it a positive one. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Five stars for Chris. One star for the wait time and app issues. I was fortunate to be at my sister’s house where I was warm and taken care of. Had this happened somewhere more remote, I likely would have looked elsewhere.

Can I renew my passport here, or can I only get a picture for it?
We offer passport photo services at all of our centres across Alberta. To learn more about this, visit ama.ab.ca/personal/passport-photo. On that page on our website, you'll also find resources on how to apply for your Canadian Passport. You can get those application forms from your nearby postal outlet or passport office. My driver's licence is due soon. Do I have to book and appointment to renew?
You do not have to book an appointment to renew your driver's licence. Just stop by one of our centres and someone from our registries team will assist you with the renewal.
Do you offer an international driver's licence here?
We sure do. The test costs $17.60, plus the cost of getting your Driver's License after you pass. Visit our website and search for 'Drivers Licence Testing' to find all the information, including what to bring with you. Good luck!
Is there a way to get a in-transit sticker for a vehicle to move?

Can I use the registry services if I am not a member?
At AMA, our registry services are member exclusive. However, you can visit our registry with someone who has an active AMA membership to use our services. Being a member does offer plenty of value.
