During the walk through the rep asked me if I wanted the optional insurance. What she forgot or I should say neglected to mention is this was already covered by my insurance and she should have never offered it to begin with. Not knowing any better I agreed. 23 days with the rental while my vehicle was in the shop cost me almost 1000$ on this optional insurance. I later spoke with my adjuster who clued me in on what happened there. Thats extremely shady. I escalated this issue to their head office over a week ago with them assuring me they will be in contact to issue a refund. Nothing but silence yet. Not even an acknowledgment email. By next monday I intend to escalte this to AMVIC and the BBB. This is blatant misrepresentation by omission.
