Went in today to get new tires put on and the service was excellent. I have been to a lot of different tire shops over the years in many different cities and town and have never been to a location that was so helpful.
All the employees were very friendly and welcoming.
The waiting area was nice and comfortable.
I went in a week before today to get quotes on different tires and they provided me with a few options printed out to take home and go over. When I made a choice I called in and was given an appointment time within a couple days.
Definitely highly recommend Fountain Tire in Lloydminster and will be a returning customer.

My wife and I drove to lloyd to visit our son at fountain tire. He works there. Our truck acted up and we were stranded. The shop allowed us to leave the truck in the shop while they diagnosed it. They were very helpful. We are very stressed out and they looked after us. We are home now with our truck. We will always deal with them on any issues from now on. Very happy. Nice shop and amazing attitude.

I booked my truck in for alignment, pressure sensors and rotation after a disaster at kaltire that cost me $5000 and leaving with the same problems. Fountain tire got my truck back to 100% in 2 hours and $350.
A pop can had frozen and exploded in my cup holder overnight but no time to deal with it before the appointment. When I picked my truck up, a technician had cleaned the cup holders and gotten rid of the garbage. Excellent customer service - kudos to the young man going over and above.

These guys are the best ..called them on a Tuesday at 3::30 first spoke to a lady named Bridget explained my problem she said she would put me through to Mike ,but he was on another call .. asked me if I would like to stay on hold or have him call me , i said I’d wait.. not 30 secs later she came back on the phone to make sure I was ok on hold still.. as to which I thought was great that she did that. Wasn’t a min later and I got to speak to Mike told him my problem that I had a bad oil leak and he said if I could get it there by 4:30 that they would have a look at it .. he asked necessary questions about my leak so I wouldn’t kill my motor getting there and got me in right away (even though I found out later they were actually booked solid til Tuesday)and had my car fixed and out the door Wed afternoon!! Amazing service Thank you Fountain Tire Lloydminster!

Tires wear out over time, and how long they last depends on things like road conditions, driving habits, inflation, and temperature. The best way to know when to replace them is to check them regularly.
Common ways to measure tread include the following.
- Tread wear bars: When these are flush with the tread, it’s time to replace.
- Coin test: If too much of the coin shows, your tread is low.
- Tread depth gauge: The most accurate way to measure.
If your tread is low or you see cracks, bulges, or notice vibration, come see us.
What are some signs my vehicle is out of alignment?
It doesn’t take much to throw your alignment off—potholes, curbs, or just everyday driving. Poor alignment can lead to faster tire wear and poor handling.
Common signs include:
- Vehicle pulls to one side
- Crooked steering wheel
- Uneven tire wear
- Loose or unstable steering
- Vibration in the steering wheel
If something feels off, we’re happy to take a look.
What’s included in the seasonal car care package?
Our seasonal car care package gets your vehicle ready for the weather ahead. It includes:
- Fresh engine oil and filter
- Chassis lubrication (as needed)
- Charging and starting system check
- Brake inspection
- Fluid top-ups
- Belt and hose inspection
- Battery test
- Tire and pressure check
- Heating/cooling system check
- Lights, wipers, and overall safety check
It’s a great way to make sure your vehicle is ready for the season.
What do the numbers on my tires mean?
The numbers on your tire’s sidewall tell you the size, load rating, and speed rating.
Example: 225/55R17 97H
- 225 – Tire width (mm)
- 55 – Height as a % of width
- R – Radial construction
- 17 – Wheel diameter (inches)
- 97 – Load rating (how much weight it can carry)
- H – Speed rating (maximum safe speed)
These numbers help us match you with the right tire.
When should I put my winter tires on?
A good rule of thumb: when you can see your breath — about 7°C and below. At that temperature, all-season tires start to harden, while winter tires stay flexible and grippy. Booking early helps you beat the rush.
