Once again they have done a great service. Rob convinced us that weather ready 2 tires would be a good choice for us. Well after our recent snowfall we are happy to say the new tires are great.
Thanks to Rob and the Fountain Tire crew .

I brought my company truck in for tire installation. After leaving, I noticed I no longer had rear tail lights. They were working prior to my visit, confirmed by my pre-trip inspection. Upon checking, I found the rear tail light wiring had been snipped along the frame.
I was able to fix it on the spot since I am an automotive technician. I’m not looking for any follow-up just leaving feedback to explain why I wasn’t fully satisfied with the visit.
Thank you,
Cole Thelin

Fountain Tire absolutely saved my day! I showed up without an appointment and a flat tire, they managed to get my car in the same day and found the culprit and fixed the tire. I still had my all weather tires on that was running year round but wanted a true winter tire as I drive up north throughout the winter. They offered me a great deal on winter tires, installed them quickly, and had my car back to me sooner than I expected. The whole experience felt smooth, honest, and genuinely helpful. Highly recommend their team if you want great service and fair pricing.
Tires wear out over time, and how long they last depends on things like road conditions, driving habits, inflation, and temperature. The best way to know when to replace them is to check them regularly.
Common ways to measure tread include the following.
- Tread wear bars: When these are flush with the tread, it’s time to replace.
- Coin test: If too much of the coin shows, your tread is low.
- Tread depth gauge: The most accurate way to measure.
If your tread is low or you see cracks, bulges, or notice vibration, come see us.
What are some signs my vehicle is out of alignment?
It doesn’t take much to throw your alignment off—potholes, curbs, or just everyday driving. Poor alignment can lead to faster tire wear and poor handling.
Common signs include:
- Vehicle pulls to one side
- Crooked steering wheel
- Uneven tire wear
- Loose or unstable steering
- Vibration in the steering wheel
If something feels off, we’re happy to take a look.
What’s included in the seasonal car care package?
Our seasonal car care package gets your vehicle ready for the weather ahead. It includes:
- Fresh engine oil and filter
- Chassis lubrication (as needed)
- Charging and starting system check
- Brake inspection
- Fluid top-ups
- Belt and hose inspection
- Battery test
- Tire and pressure check
- Heating/cooling system check
- Lights, wipers, and overall safety check
It’s a great way to make sure your vehicle is ready for the season.
What do the numbers on my tires mean?
The numbers on your tire’s sidewall tell you the size, load rating, and speed rating.
Example: 225/55R17 97H
- 225 – Tire width (mm)
- 55 – Height as a % of width
- R – Radial construction
- 17 – Wheel diameter (inches)
- 97 – Load rating (how much weight it can carry)
- H – Speed rating (maximum safe speed)
These numbers help us match you with the right tire.
When should I put my winter tires on?
A good rule of thumb: when you can see your breath — about 7°C and below. At that temperature, all-season tires start to harden, while winter tires stay flexible and grippy. Booking early helps you beat the rush.
