On Feb 18, I received a letter from Enterprise Rental dated Feb 9 enclosing an invoice of the amount of $2,636. Nothing was mentioned about any sort of a claim related to this payment. And this invoice is the only correspondence document I had received from Enterprise since I had tried to rent a car from them on early Dec 2025. I had received no other official documents. As per mentioned in the following post, because Enterprise told me in the phone conversation on Feb 12 they will pass some sort of a claim to a Collection Agency, and I was subdued to that statement. I realized it is very painful to reason with Enterprise even though there is no reasons why I have to pay for the damage. I did not cause the damage. It was done by somebody else. And the damage was done at the time when I had no ownership of the rental car. If I pay, I want to receive the official claim documents first. I did call Enterprise about the official claim documents in the past and they had refused to provide it. It did not stop me from wondering whether this claim legal ? How can it happen that the person who is supposed to pay for the claim was deprived from access to the official claim document ? I contacted Enterprise through a customer service phone number as suggested by Kim who had responded to this post. The customer service agent told me she will pass the information to an area manager and the area manager will contact me. It has been a long time and so far no area manager has contacted me. Please see below the Feb 12 post: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I tried to rent a car from downtown Edmonton Enterprise Car Rental in early December 2025. On Dec 2, there was something wrong with the brake and I called Sultan Khan, manager of the office, at 4:00 pm. He told me he was closing the office soon and he would not be able to send somebody over to look at the car. He told me to leave the car in a parking lot and somebody would come over to check the car the next morning. I did as what I was told and I had never seen the car again until late afternoon on Dec 3, after the car was driven back to downtown Enterprise office by Enterprise people. On Dec 3, I received a phone call from Mr. Khan, telling me the car was handled by Enterprise people in that morning and the car was damaged. The fact was: it was not only me who had driven the car, Enterprise person(s) had driven the car before the damage was reported. And also, if the car was damaged while it was parked in the parking lot, why didn't Enterprise people contact me at the time when they picked up the car on Dec 3 so I can come to the scene and reported it as a hit and run accident ? What actually was being done by Enterprise was: They told me I have to pay for the damage since it was under my ownership. I checked my record, I was not charged for renting the car on Dec 2 and Dec 3. How would I have ownership of the car if I am not paying for the rental ? I have not heard from Enterprise until 2 days ago. They demanded me to pay $2638 for the damage. I asked them to provide me official documents of the claim and they were not able to do so. They told me I can contact Mr Khan, manager of the store. I sent several emails to Khan and called the office. There was no response. I called Enterprise again on Feb 12, 2026. They told me if I do not pay $2638, they will pass the claim to a collection agency. I subdued to the Collection Agency statement. I think I better pay. I do not see any reasons for paying the damage. However, I also realized it is very painful to reason with Enterprise. And if I pay, I wanted to receive the official claim documents first. The agent whom I was talking to over the phone refused to provide it . I asked him for his name and he handed up the call on me. Right now, I would like some trustworthy persons from Enterprise to contact me about this claim. All of the above information are well documented.

I find this situation very unprofessional. I waited over two hours for a scheduled drop-off, which is unacceptable and reflects poorly on management.

I was referred to Enterprise by the body shop we were using for vehicle repairs. Walter picked us up to shuttle us to the Enterprise rental office and he was very professional. The fellows at the desk on check in were professional and got me into a beautiful very clean vehicle with no issues. They were very good at explaining all the details of the rental. On returning our rental the office was very busy but our man handled everything professionally and had Walter return us back to the body shop. The vehicle we got was very clean and ran beautifully. All around we had a good experience and would certainly use this company in the future.
