Enterprise itself has a great service. I had to deal with road side assistance due to an accident and had phenomenal assistance. Great customer service. I was put in a new rental right away. (From the airport location- which btw also has great service). However, this specific location I’m not sure what happened. The vehicle I was originally given had worn tires and had a dash board light came on. The customer service is not the best. The staff are not properly trained and have little knowledge on the policy and procedures. They have been very frustrating to deal with. The branch manger, Rav, has been the only person there that has been able to give me the info I need and help me through the process. I would highly suggest a different location if considering Enterprise.
I had a very disappointing experience when returning this rental vehicle.
At drop-off, I was told I had violated the “no pets in the car” policy because a small amount of pet hair was found in the trunk. To be clear, no pets were ever in the vehicle. I do have pets at home, and it is entirely possible that trace hair transferred from my bag, but this does not indicate that an animal was transported in the car.
I was then threatened with additional fees based solely on these trace amounts. When I questioned this, the staff member stated that the cleaner is deathly allergic, information that was never disclosed at the time of rental. The only policy communicated was “no pets in the car,” which is not equivalent to holding customers responsible for microscopic transfer from personal belongings.
What was most concerning was the staff member’s passive-aggressive and condescending tone, including a remark along the lines of, “Oh yeah, I’ll add that to the other billion things we have to say when renting a vehicle.” This was unprofessional and unnecessary.
Policies should be enforced fairly, clearly communicated in advance, and handled with respect. I hope management reviews how these situations are addressed and ensures staff communicate professionally with customers.

This review is not about this specific location alone, but about Enterprise’s overall policy regarding all-season tires.
I cannot understand how Enterprise is allowed to rent vehicles with so-called “all-season” tires in cities like Edmonton, where winter conditions are extreme. Driving these cars in snow and –30°C weather is absolutely unsafe.
I own a car with all-season tires myself and have never experienced anything like this. But driving an Enterprise rental with their “modified all-season tires” was a nightmare. Just a 10-minute drive to work caused extreme stress and felt genuinely dangerous.
This is not the first time. Last year we rented a VW Taos for a road trip to Banff, and the car could barely get out of the parking spot. At the time, I thought it was a one-off issue. Clearly, it is not.
Last week, our insurance provided us with another Enterprise vehicle — again with all-season tires — and once again it was terrifying to drive. I was driving 30–40 km/h max, and still the car slid badly. In one moment, while going about 15 km/h, the car turned almost 90 degrees on 80 Avenue. Thankfully, there were no pedestrians or parked cars nearby.
This is a serious safety concern. I truly don’t understand how vehicles like this are allowed to be rented during winter conditions in Alberta.
First time using enterprise. I used this location due to its convenience. I work in the area and used a local bodyshop.
The valet service was fantastic. However things started to go south rather quickly. Guy behind the counter took me out to the vehicle. Showed me a specific area of damage and gave me the run down. The vehicle was still covered in snow and extremely filthy on the exterior which made it impossible to inspect the vehicle before I took possession.
Pulled out onto the street and a warning light came on stating the vehicle should be stopped and shut off. I continued too work which was a 5min drive. Once there I reached out to notify them of this concern.
At about noon I parked the vehicle inside my shop and gave it a rinse off.
This is when I saw the condition.
4 large stone chips in the windshield that have not been filled. Yet they still offered extra charge for glass insurance.
Dents. paint chips. Cracked paint. Gouge through plastic pannels.
End of shift I was driving home. Needed to use the windshield wipers. Turns out they are so warn that it left me with two blind spots where the wipers didn't touch the glass. This was the second time I reached out via the help line they connected me with at the rental pick up.
Interior is filthy ontop of it all.
24 hours later. Still zero response.
Now I am contacting my insurance to get out of this rental and choose another business.
When I returned the vehicle I once again repeated my concerns. Was meet with excuses.
Do yourself a favor and find a different Enterprise location after my recent experience. From start to finish, this rental was a complete nightmare. The first vehicle I picked up smelled strongly of smoke, making it unusable with my children. When I returned it, Enterprise tried to downgrade me from the SUV I paid for to a sedan, seemingly hoping I wouldn’t notice. I had to insist that I had paid for an SUV, not a sedan, and then wait 30 minutes while they cleaned one for me, even though I had been told prior to arriving that it would be ready.
The next night, the replacement vehicle started showing multiple warning lights. I called Enterprise to see if I could switch it out, and they told me to come in even though the branch was closing. When I got there, it was already closed, so I had no choice but to call online and drive all the way to the airport to get a replacement vehicle. On top of that, they told me I had to fill up the gas both times, even though it wasn’t my fault I had to switch cars and I was running late to pick up my children. I had no choice but to pay because I couldn’t stop at a gas station in time.
This experience wasted my time, money, and energy, and the $90 compensation offered is insulting a total slap in the face. After all my time and money were wasted, Enterprise could have avoided all of this by properly inspecting their vehicles before handing them over. Do yourself a favor and go to a different Enterprise.
UPDATE
I got a call from the manager and he resolved it for me right away! Thank you
