Shout out to the examiner, Karan, at Edmonton South for a great experience for my son during his drivers test. He explained clearly where he needs to improve and was very kind and considerate.

Booked a 2 hour brush up lesson. Instructor spent most of it talking about how to inspect a car. Got maybe 10 minutes of actual driving. Waste of time and money.

Definitely a 5/5! The overall course is so useful and a confidence booster! Started off as a nervous wreck on the road, now that I am all completed in the Drivers Ed course, my confidence has drastically improved! The instructor I had (named Sukhvir Virk) was very helpful and provided many tips for safe and proactive driving, as well as helping me prepare for my upcoming road test.
Would highly recommend AMA Drivers Ed if you or anyone that has never once driven in their lives or to simply improve your driving!!!

Ridiculous place! They open at 9 make people sign in at reception and in my case take a seat and wait.
20 minutes in, at insurance area employees start showing up, looks like late for work. Then one person takes the 1st client in and all the other employees just chill make clients wait.
No wonder wait times take long if you have only 1 employee working with a client and several others pretending they're busy to take a client
Shame on you AMA
Reply to AMAs response:
I undeeatand you are busy therfore people should be working instead of relaxing and chatting with eachother while drinking ice caps when clients are lining up and waiting.
1 person out of 5 available was actually helping clients, 2 employees showed up late and joined 2 others with doing nothing but drinking coffee and chatting with each other while 5 of us were waiting in line for that 1 employee to finish with a client
Experience like that makes people cancel memberships.

The online portion of AMA Driver Training was clear and easy to complete. Our son finished it in March, but we couldn’t get our first in-car driving lesson scheduled until June. Not great, but OK we went with it.
We had to cancel and move the initial session last week due to sports, however, the next available time slot was for August 20th. At that pace, completing the required 10 hours of in car instruction would take several months, which doesn’t work for us.
We’ve canceled the in-car portion with AMA altogether and have gone with another provider that offers more reasonable scheduling. Looks like he can get finished in a couple of weeks BUYER WARNING - no refunds are provided ny AMA - so ask ahead of time how many drivers they have in your area and how long would it take to complete the 10 hours of driving. They only have 2 drivers in all of southwest Edmonton. For AMA it looks like several months to do the 10 hours. AMA should improve availability before accepting new students.
