- LALacey AndersonApr 11, 20261.0Absolutely horrible experience, went there for my boyfriends drivers test and he was unable to do so because of AMA'a absolute ignorance. my boyfriend has had his learners license for over a year however never received the ordinal and had to get one reissued in June of 2025. the lady at the front desk said he wasn't able to even though we had solid proof of him having his license. AMA, why did you allow him to book his drivers test if he wasn't allowed to take it? this a mistake on your end, do better.

Will you have another AMA shredding event soon?

Can I renew my passport here, or can I only get a picture for it?
We offer passport photo services at all of our centres across Alberta. To learn more about this, visit ama.ab.ca/personal/passport-photo. On that page on our website, you'll also find resources on how to apply for your Canadian Passport. You can get those application forms from your nearby postal outlet or passport office. My driver's licence is due soon. Do I have to book and appointment to renew?
You do not have to book an appointment to renew your driver's licence. Just stop by one of our centres and someone from our registries team will assist you with the renewal.
Do you offer an international driver's licence here?
We sure do. The test costs $17.60, plus the cost of getting your Driver's License after you pass. Visit our website and search for 'Drivers Licence Testing' to find all the information, including what to bring with you. Good luck!
Is there a way to get a in-transit sticker for a vehicle to move?

Can I use the registry services if I am not a member?
At AMA, our registry services are member exclusive. However, you can visit our registry with someone who has an active AMA membership to use our services. Being a member does offer plenty of value.
