I normally dont leave. Reviews. But I feel. People should beware of this. Shop the service is good and the tires are awsome. But my vehicle needed a wheel alignment which a asked them to do when I returned to pick up the truck they said it couldn't be done because the ball joints were shot and said it was going to be $2000 to fix. I thought it was a little bit odd as my truck has only 100 000 km on it and its a pavement princess. Its never gravel or been off road. So took it to two other shops for quote. And they both said the ball joints where fine. I don't point the finger and totally say they tried to scam me. But it does fishy. Maybe its just case that there technical is incompetent. 🤦🤦🤷🤷 I can't say for sure

Saturday afternoon after I realized that my tire was deflated and upon inspecting I found a nail. I drove down to fountain tire the advisor Joelle was kind and helpful and they were able to fix it before they closed. I appreciated this so much and I loved the text report included for the tire repair! I had went to another tire shop nearby prior and they could not help without an appointment which was stressful. Thank you!!

I went into Fountain Tire on 37 Street a couple of weeks ago inquiring about if my winter tires will fit with the rims I purchased online. They said it will. Then I asked one of the front desk gentleman if I would need a appointment to get winter tires swap from them. They told me it is first come first serve base. Will not need appointment. Two weeks later, my 70 year old dad and I loaded tires and rims showed up at their front door at 8am. They said they are fully booked for the next 3 weeks and they are by appointment ONLY store. Super misleading untrustworthy and unreliable company. I am glad I did NOT do tire swap from them. I am glad there are tons of other tire places who accommodate my request right on spot. I got it done right away from another company. Will not recommend this place to friends and families.
Tires wear out over time, and how long they last depends on things like road conditions, driving habits, inflation, and temperature. The best way to know when to replace them is to check them regularly.
Common ways to measure tread include the following.
- Tread wear bars: When these are flush with the tread, it’s time to replace.
- Coin test: If too much of the coin shows, your tread is low.
- Tread depth gauge: The most accurate way to measure.
If your tread is low or you see cracks, bulges, or notice vibration, come see us.
What are some signs my vehicle is out of alignment?
It doesn’t take much to throw your alignment off—potholes, curbs, or just everyday driving. Poor alignment can lead to faster tire wear and poor handling.
Common signs include:
- Vehicle pulls to one side
- Crooked steering wheel
- Uneven tire wear
- Loose or unstable steering
- Vibration in the steering wheel
If something feels off, we’re happy to take a look.
What’s included in the seasonal car care package?
Our seasonal car care package gets your vehicle ready for the weather ahead. It includes:
- Fresh engine oil and filter
- Chassis lubrication (as needed)
- Charging and starting system check
- Brake inspection
- Fluid top-ups
- Belt and hose inspection
- Battery test
- Tire and pressure check
- Heating/cooling system check
- Lights, wipers, and overall safety check
It’s a great way to make sure your vehicle is ready for the season.
What do the numbers on my tires mean?
The numbers on your tire’s sidewall tell you the size, load rating, and speed rating.
Example: 225/55R17 97H
- 225 – Tire width (mm)
- 55 – Height as a % of width
- R – Radial construction
- 17 – Wheel diameter (inches)
- 97 – Load rating (how much weight it can carry)
- H – Speed rating (maximum safe speed)
These numbers help us match you with the right tire.
When should I put my winter tires on?
A good rule of thumb: when you can see your breath — about 7°C and below. At that temperature, all-season tires start to harden, while winter tires stay flexible and grippy. Booking early helps you beat the rush.
