A huge shout out to Max at the Calgary Airport Enterprise. On January 1st our Calgary to Medicine Hat flight was cancelled. At first Max told us he didn’t have a car he could book for Medicine Hat. We were sitting to the side trying to book a hotel, when Max came over and told us he may be able to get a car, he was checking a few things. He succeeded, we were on our way to Medicine Hat within the hour. Thank you Max. We also want to send a thank you to the three representatives working in the Medicine Hat office on January 2nd. Great people, lots of smiles and laughs.

According to an Enterprise customer service rep I just spoke with on the phone, "all season tires are just as safe as winter tires." Last time I checked, that's not true. You can't even legally drive on the highways in Alberta in the winter without winter tires or chains. So, that's strike one. Strike two, you're gonna charge $200 for a week just for winter tires to be equipped on a car, otherwise I can only drive on roads under 80km/h, and risk my safety, as well as the safety of other motorists on the road? Strike three.... the vehicles in stock DO NOT match the vehicles listed on the website, and there is no way to ensure you'll get a vehicle you're comfortable in, on top of having to pay a premium for winter tires (damn near the cost of buying them personally). I guess the quality of service changes from location to location. I'm a large guy, and trying to make sure I don't get crammed into a 3-series tuna can for a week doesn't seem like a big ask. YQG has always been very accommodating. YYC, not so much. *Updated to a 1 star because the person who responded was the second person I spoke with (first call was to the Enterprise main customer support number, second call was to the YYC location). Andrew wouldn't tell me what cars in the "Luxury" class are available at that location, would not confirm whether or not there would be winter tires on the car or what kind of tires are on the car in general in the winter, after raising concerns about my safety in the vehicle. This rental hasn't even occurred yet. I've been trying to get a straight answer out of these people prior to my arrival. If customer satisfaction is so important, you shouldn't be letting anyonr drive off the lot in poor driving conditions without proper tires, for starters. Re-routing me to the corporate website rather than just doing your job and handling issues directly is wildly unprofessional. Not to mention the scams I've heard them pulling at this location, charging customers for damages to cars after the customers dropped off the vehicle in good condition. Thank you for making such a simple thing over-complicated. Here's how you should have handled this: Customer: "what vehicles are in stock at this location in this class" Andrew: "we generally have _____ and _____ but availability may vary" Customer: "ok thank you, are the cars at least equipped with all-weather tires in the winter, given the amount of snow and icy road conditions around this location" Andrew: "we have all-season tires installed, but winter tires are available in limited supply" Customer: "doesn't seem very safe to be driving on all-season tires in such conditions, or that I should have to pay nearly the cost of buying the tires myself to be adequately equipped for my trip" Andrew: "you're right sir, statistically speaking all-season tires are not safe for winter driving. We will make sure that your car has them fitted and will waive the cost for you." Customer: "thank you so much for not risking my life" Costs the company nothing extra as they should already have enough winter tires for every vehicle they rent out in a region that gets slammed with snow. Seems pretty negligent otherwise. I just want to be safe on the road and mitigate all unnecessary risks. Shouldn't have to explain this to anyone. Should be the standard... these people really out here hoping you crash the car so their insurance writes it off and they get a new vehicle without incurring any of the depreciation on the car.... smells like fraud, but hey.... what do I know

I’d like to give a 5-star review for my car rental return experience with Enterprise on the morning of January 1 (unfortunately I forgot to ask the representative’s name). I truly appreciated the warm and friendly welcome we received despite the early 5:00 a.m. hour. The return process was very streamlined and efficient, making everything quick and hassle-free. The representative also kindly guided us on the walk to the terminal, which was extremely helpful. Overall, it was an excellent and pleasant experience—thank you!

Really disappointed with enterprise. We live in northern Alberta and none of their vehicles available for rental were equipped with true winter tires. Weather conditions have been atrocious for weeks and zero preparation for that. Further, the fact that they charge you extra for having winter tires on their rentals in my opinion is criminal. How dare you make people choose between their safety and financial situation. You should be ashamed. Corporate greed has gone way too far when companies think it's okay to make people choose. We also had no washer fluid as they hadn't switched over to the winter grade one and it was frozen.

I called the help center around 15 times. Every time, a different employee answered and gave a different response. In the end, they said the manager team would call me back, but I never received any call. This was one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had. It completely ruined my vacation. I strongly advise against booking with them in advance. They forced me to go to a different location, and even after fully cooperating, they offered no help. Instead, they kept blaming another branch and demanded additional fees.
