I would like to provide feedback regarding my recent rental experience and the incident that occurred.
At the time of pickup, I was not made aware of vehicle was not equipped with winter tires, and my insurer had approved winter tire rental coverage because my original vehicle was fitted with winter tires. However, I was informed that no winter tire equipped vehicles were available and was provided with a vehicle fitted with all season tires, and only their 5% fleet has winter tires.
The incident occurred in snowy conditions at approximately 20 to 30 km/h while attempting a turn. Due to reduced traction, the vehicle did not respond as expected and made contact with the curb. There was no airbag deployment and no visible exterior damage. I immediately returned to the branch and disclosed the incident. The vehicle was inspected and exterior condition was noted as acceptable.
My primary concern is safety. Winter tires were approved for a reason. In winter driving conditions, traction differences are significant. If winter tires were not available, it would have been helpful to understand what alternatives could have been offered to mitigate risk.
Additionally, the preliminary repair estimate of approximately $1,942 appears high. I consulted an independent mechanic who estimated similar repairs in the range of $1,000 to $1,200. He also indicated that for a 2025 SUV, sustaining this level of internal damage from a low speed curb contact would be uncommon unless there may have been pre existing wear or damage that was not previously identified.
If the damage is indeed as extensive as outlined, I would appreciate clarification on how it was determined that all components were damaged during this specific incident, and whether any prior condition assessment was reviewed.
My intent is not to dispute responsibility but to understand:
• What could have been done differently at pickup regarding winter tire availability
• Whether safety protocols align with approved rental specifications
• How damage attribution is assessed for internal components
• Whether pricing transparency can be improved
I value safety and transparency, and I hope this feedback helps improve the rental process for winter conditions.

Booked with enterprise last minute and they were amazing!! The staff at the branch were so accommodating and lovely, genuinely made our day. The car we were able to rent was great, and amazing value for money.
Used Enterprise because the original company we had booked with cancelled our booking. After our experience with Enterprise we will only be using them in the future!
We booked a truck online from the morning of Feb 15 to the morning of Feb 17. When we arrived at this location to pick up the vehicle, we were informed that no truck was available and were offered a compact AWD SUV instead but at the same price as the truck. We explained multiple times that a compact SUV should not cost the same as a truck, but she told us that this is the rate they always charge. No adjustment was made. When returning the vehicle, the fuel gauge was at 1/2 tank. However, she stated that it was below 1/2 and added an additional $17 fuel charge. In the end, the $17 was waived, but only because the rental price had not been adjusted after downgrading us from a truck to a compact SUV. Our only mistake was not walking away when we were told the truck was unavailable. This was a very poor experience at this location.
I had a fantastic experience renting from this location while my personal vehicle was in the shop. I originally booked an intermediate SUV, and while they didn’t have that specific class available at pickup, they quickly and professionally upgraded me to a standard SUV without any hassle.
The best part was the flexibility. When the repair shop told me my car wouldn't be ready until Monday, I called to extend my rental. They were incredibly accommodating and let me keep the same daily rate.
The return process took less than 3 minutes. They even gave me a small refund because I returned the car with more gas than when I started. I've never had a rental company do that before! Friendly, professional, and stress-free. Highly recommend!
I have been renting from this specific location for years and have always praised their customer service. Its one of the reasons I specifically only rent from this location. However, this time was a very different experience. I reserved a full size sedan, mainly because me and my partner had lots of stuff and I am over 6ft tall. Standard and intermediate size is never enough space for me. When I got to the enterprise in the morning, they gave me a V. Jetta. Right away I was confused as thats definitely not a full size and are known for not being roomy lol I asked the agent "i thought I reserved full size". He said they didnt have any so he is giving me standard. Right away im annoyed, as if you don't have the size I request... you shouldn't be sizing down 2 levels but offering me one level above like suv then. I offered to try to see if I could fit. No go. My head was hitting the roof and the steering wheel couldn't turn without hitting my thighs. Super unsafe.
So he said he will be back and see what else they have. He comes back and says all he can offer me is a truck. I dont want a truck as I find them too big and a hassle for parking, but I agree as he said its all they could offer. We go to take a look at it and he said it was just returned so it hasn't been cleaned yet on inside. I let it slide because this is taking so long and we are late getting on the road and plus, I always have liked their customer service. So I told him not to worry about it. Then he checks gas and apologizes its not at a full tank. I again let it slide and say its fine, i will just only fill it back up to that point. My partner tells me to take a photo of the gas meter and I told him no need, I have never had issues here like that. I said I trust them.
End of the day we get back from banff around 11pm. Because we have this big truck I didnt want, it is too big for the height requirement of our apartments parking garage. Now we have no where to park. We spent close to 1 HOUR at midnight trying to find somewhere downtown to park overnight that would be safe and free. Nothing. We gave up and found a private lot and paid for parking overnight into the morning. That was so frustrating, not only the time spent late in evening, but also that the rental is costing me more now because I was given this huge truck that I didn't want nor did I ask for it. Again, I let it go. Then in the morning I refill the tank back to where I recieved it from. I head to the enterprise to drop it off. A different man this time, asked how it was. I said I wasn't happy I had to pay for parking overnight downtown because I was given a truck and not able to park in our garage so it cost me more and wasted an hour in evening. He wasn't sorry or say anything other then "oh okay, I will go inspect the vehicle now".Then he comes back says everything looks good but did I want to go fill up the tank because it's not full. I said excuse me!? Lol I am not filling it past where I recieved it sorry. He claimed I revieved it full. THE AUDACITY lol after EVERYTHING with this reservation and the extra hassle, inconvenience, poor customer service, and extra cost incurred (non of which were my fault), they try to get me to fill tank or pay for the difference?!!! That was the last straw for me lol. I get into an argument with the manager about all we have put up with so far and let go with smiles on our faces, and the extra costs, and now they try to claim we had it at a full tank?! I was absolutely shocked, insulted, and flat out pissed. The man who apologized for it not being full when i recieved it yesterday of course was not there and couldn't back me up lol. My partner was right i guess, I should have taken a photo. She also claimed I was given the truck because I refused the vehicle options they gave me including the jetta? Lol I told her the jetta was two sizes smaller than i reserved, and I was only offered the truck and no other options. So not sure where she was getting that story from.
I told them they have lost any future service with me.
