  My experience did not start well since I had to settle with a lower class vehicle (Mercedes CLA) from what I had originally rented (Audi Q3) since they did not have the Audi with winter tires, which I had requested weeks in advance. The more problematic part was that the Alamo counter person at YYC did not even tell me about the availability of my chosen car and charged me for an Audi. I only found out at the garage that it wasn’t available and I’ll have to choose from whatever they got now, which was outright scammy—led to frustration and lost time at the pickup for decision making. Additionally, the mercedes was dirty from both inside and outside. However, the car was almost perfect to drive and had no issues at all throughout the trip. I also have a lot of appreciation for Alamo customer service since they realized that it was unfair for me and gave me a great discount (almost 50% on total) on my request. The folks at the pickup and dropoff were helpful and patient and tried to help me make best of what I got.

  We arrived late afternoon two days before Christmas and the staff were very friendly and very professional. We got our car and we were sent on our way within 15/20. Tip remember to ask about Snowbrush for the car when you rent in the winter!

  I had reservation with Alamo at Calgary international airport our plane delayed. I called before departure to make sure we will have the car . Over the phone they said no worries someone will wait for me . We get to the kiosk just after 1 am . Everybody left at the same time as I get there they said they can't help. I callef customer service they told we have to spend the night on the airport as our hotel was in Canmore . Spend the night on the airport with my wife and daughter seriously. That's your solution? That was another 2-3 customer with this company in the same situation. I ended up to pick a cab to get us to our hotel ./ which cost me $300 extra. I rented a car in Canmore.To get back to the airport will cost me $250 . So I lost $550 because Alamo didn't keep what they promised.

  Great experience from start to finish. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made everything easy. The car was clean and drove great, and I was pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade. Really good service overall. Would definitely rent from them again.

  I had an exceptional rental experience here. My husband and I were flying in to be with an unwell family member when WestJet delayed our flight multiple times. Long story short, when we arrived to the Calgary airport Alamo was to be closed. However the super conscientious staffers stayed and quickly assisted us in securing a rental vehicle, well after midnight. I also wanted to mention that upon returning my rental I was asked by Opee how my experience was and what they could have done to make it better. This was not lip service, this was genuine customer service. As a business owner, I was made to recognize that this company sees they need to earn my business. When in Calgary, I will absolutely be renting with Alamo. Excellent work my friends, and I also wanted to mention my rental was immaculately clean. I expect this, however it usually falls short with other companies. I will be back, and thank you again Opee and your entire team, I wish I could give 7 stars.
