This is the best tire shop I have ever been to. Very friendly, efficient, helpful, knowledgeable staff.
I got my tires changed over to winters. That didn't take long but you also don't mind waiting on a cold day when you can sit in their waiting room and watch TV and have some delicious hot chocolate or fresh coffee. They have a monster coffee maker in the waiting room. It's great!!!

After moving from Ontario to Alberta I was informed that a safety inspection would be required. My new insurance company also required an inspection as my 2008 Toyota Corolla is considered old. Being an older vehicle I had some anxiety about bringing it to an unfamiliar shop for a safety inspection. After speaking with the owner of Fountain Tire, Jason Morgan struck me as a fair and honest person. I decided to have them do the inspection. They did a thorough job and didn't make up any stories. The price was fair. I would recommend them to anyone looking for an honest competent repair shop.

Very sad, unprofessional and not helpful. I sent my daughter there because I bought my tires at fountain tire airdrie, hoping they would be helpful. But they were not. If your are a woman, I would advise you to not go to Fountain tire Bonnyville. He was vwry rude and would not let me finish a sentence. Kal tire Bonnyville was very friendly and helpful. Shame on you, Fountain Tire.

We took our Ford Escape in for a tire repair after being left on the side of the road. Jaden was very knowledgeable and straight forward. He said we needed new tires and explained why. New set installed, balanced and aligned for a very reasonable price. Service was excellent. We will definitely be back!
Tires wear out over time, and how long they last depends on things like road conditions, driving habits, inflation, and temperature. The best way to know when to replace them is to check them regularly.
Common ways to measure tread include the following.
- Tread wear bars: When these are flush with the tread, it’s time to replace.
- Coin test: If too much of the coin shows, your tread is low.
- Tread depth gauge: The most accurate way to measure.
If your tread is low or you see cracks, bulges, or notice vibration, come see us.
What are some signs my vehicle is out of alignment?
It doesn’t take much to throw your alignment off—potholes, curbs, or just everyday driving. Poor alignment can lead to faster tire wear and poor handling.
Common signs include:
- Vehicle pulls to one side
- Crooked steering wheel
- Uneven tire wear
- Loose or unstable steering
- Vibration in the steering wheel
If something feels off, we’re happy to take a look.
What’s included in the seasonal car care package?
Our seasonal car care package gets your vehicle ready for the weather ahead. It includes:
- Fresh engine oil and filter
- Chassis lubrication (as needed)
- Charging and starting system check
- Brake inspection
- Fluid top-ups
- Belt and hose inspection
- Battery test
- Tire and pressure check
- Heating/cooling system check
- Lights, wipers, and overall safety check
It’s a great way to make sure your vehicle is ready for the season.
What do the numbers on my tires mean?
The numbers on your tire’s sidewall tell you the size, load rating, and speed rating.
Example: 225/55R17 97H
- 225 – Tire width (mm)
- 55 – Height as a % of width
- R – Radial construction
- 17 – Wheel diameter (inches)
- 97 – Load rating (how much weight it can carry)
- H – Speed rating (maximum safe speed)
These numbers help us match you with the right tire.
When should I put my winter tires on?
A good rule of thumb: when you can see your breath — about 7°C and below. At that temperature, all-season tires start to harden, while winter tires stay flexible and grippy. Booking early helps you beat the rush.
