Within a short time of arriving, I experienced throat, eye, and nasal irritation, along with a severe headache. The smoke exposure was so extensive that the odor clung to my hair, clothing, and skin, requiring an immediate shower and laundering of all clothing upon returning home. This was not a minor inconvenience—it was physically uncomfortable and concerning from a health perspective. While West Virginia gaming venues are known for higher levels of smoke exposure, I did not expect a concert setting to be so heavily affected. For me, this turned what should have been an enjoyable evening into a waste of money and an avoidable health risk. Secondhand smoke is a well-documented health hazard, including increased cancer risk, as outlined by the American Cancer Society. I share this review so others can make informed decisions. If you are sensitive to smoke or prioritize clean air, you may want to consider alternative concert venues in the Baltimore or Washington, DC area that offer smoke-free environments. I hope the Event Center will consider addressing this issue in the future to provide a safer and more enjoyable experience for all patrons.

The stage is good size with video screen on both sides and fantastic lighting effects. Come early and have a meal at the Sportbars Restaurant or try the casino.
