A wonderful open zoo sanctuary. We were able to rent a golf cart and ride through to see the animals in large habitats. The facility is clean. The zoo handlers were present cleaning and interacting with the animals. There are so many educational opportunities for you and old alike.

We did a NYE night drive thru for $12 per person. Sat around the campfire and roasted marshmallows. The marshmallows are free but they charge for the sticks! Delightful to get close to all the exotic animals.

I have been there before in warm weather, but this time went at the end of December. All of the animals that adapt to a cold climate were out, and looked healthy. The stars were the tiger cubs, four of them, very playful and cute. The holiday decorations were delightful! We walked the whole way and were up close and personal with the animals. It was very muddy, so take that possibility into consideration!

the xmas lights are awesome! the staff is helpful and very informative. they sure don't mind the simple crazy questions that if i would READ a dang sign would tell me (yes self deprecating moment). the animals are very fun to watch and learn about. great for anytime. i also suggest coming for spring/fall and bringing picnic gear and enjoying the walk.

A great place to visit as adults and to visit with our (now 6yr old) son. I/we love feeding the "hooved animals" with provided on-site treats. It's a very large property but golf carts are available to rent. *Some walking paths are of crushed stone and can be very very bumpy for those riding in 'small-wheeled' strollers.* Truly one of SE Wisconsin's hidden gems.
One item keeping a 5-star rating, we recently traveled to see their drive-thru-the-park holiday lights "open til 9:00pm". We arrived at 8:00pm to locked gates. I was informed LAST TICKET SALES AT 7:30pm by a young gift shop employee who was extremely rude and unfriendly. When I mentioned they should really post that on the website for others she said that's not her job and I should just talk to the owner if I'm not happy enough cause she's very busy.
At a time when Shalom is legally fighting off some unruly and unjust NEW homeowner who share a property line, I recommend courteous public relations are paramount. Especially to those who have donated to the Go Fund Me effort for those legal fees. I hope I this attitude would be addressed moving forward.
