I would like to take a moment to compliment the staff at this theater. Everyone was wonderful, and in particular, the woman who assisted us did so with a warm smile and a genuinely positive attitude. She appeared to truly enjoy her work, which created a welcoming and pleasant experience. That kind of customer service makes a real difference, and it did not go unnoticed. Please keep up the great work we look forward to visiting again tomorrow.

We saw the SpongeBob movie, great experience except I smashed my knee on one of the guard rails in the dark.

Arrived at the theater 30 minutes prior to start time (600) and went to concessions. Ordered some snacks and also a chicken bacon ranch wrap with fries. Was given a buzzer and told 15 minutes estimated wait time. Went to go sit down. At 615 I still had not received the ready signal from the buzzer so I figured I’d just go down and check on the status. About halfway during my walk from the theater to the concessions the buzzer started to go off - little did I know at the time while lost in my euphoria of perfect timing that this would end up being the most ironic part of this story. As I turn the corner from the hallway to the main lobby where concessions sits I notice a line of about five to six people already at the counter also waiting to pick up their food. A bit of an internal eye roll considering my movie had already started and I had to leave the theater and now wait behind many other people but such is life and I quickly overcame what ended being only the beginning of my misfortune. While standing in line I noticed and overheard the lady at the head of the line was questioning where her order was- just as I was originally on my way to do- and after a four to five minute disappearing act the manager reappeared and kindly conveyed to the customer it’s not ready but it’s “in the queue”. She steps to the side but not without subtle but very obvious displeasure. Second patron steps up to the counter and also requests a status update. The manager once again takes a three to four minute hiatus in the back somewhere and reappears to let him know they had not started his order yet and the systems crashed. He requests a refund. His well deserved refund happens to eat up another seven to eight or so minutes as the manager cannot find the order in the system due to the “crash” and is re-punching his order manually to calculate his refund. It’s at this point I have the realization that I am not only still waiting in line but I also happen to be the only person in line with a lit up buzzer. I begin to have an internal battle over whether or not me yelling from my spot in line that my buzzer is actually going off will get me to the head of the line or is this rude? I’m also justifying to myself whether or not I care at this point if I am rude. After all, at this point I had ordered the food one hour ago, which was 30 minutes before the movie start time, and now I am standing in a line full of people questioning their dead buzzers and I have easily missed all trailers and the first 20 minutes of the movie at this point - a movie which I paid approximately a total of $50 just to enter and another $50 for the food of which in partial I still have not yet received. LOL. Marcus Theaters of Mequon quite literally had me in shambles and talking to myself. I remained silent and patient. It is now my turn. After achieving a very high level moral victory over my patience and calmness I proudly hand my buzzer to the manager. I tell her I have a buzzer actually buzzing and we both have a shared celebration but for our own reasons. She disappears and reappears minutes later of course to say HERE YOU GO! PEPPERONI PIZZA! …………… In case you forgot what I ordered in the midst of this rant - that’s not what I ordered. She returns to the back again to try and fetch my order and returns three to four minutes later to let me know they don’t have it prepared but just threw the chicken in for me. I said great please bring to my seat when ready. When I returned to my seat I regretted not just taking someone else’s pizza at this point. For the record, I did eventually receive the wrap albeit not as I ordered it and approximately two hours after I ordered it. I will say these were nice people working here and this very bad experience could have only been made worse by rude people so I’ll at least give them credit for that. But this place is clearly very poorly managed and it’s another moral victory in and of itself for me to word it that politely.
