  I wish there were more stars I could give to Star City Music. A fantastic operation without a doubt. I initially cold called them looking for someone to repair some glue joints on one of my double basses. After speaking with Robert on the phone I was confident enough in his knowledge to ask if they could also perform a modification I was hoping could rectify another issue as well. Robert said they definitely could and we talked about some options, prices, etc. After arriving at the shop where Robert could see my issues, he said they could definitely make the repair, but he suggested an alternative modification that could also solve my other issue. He spent some time to demonstrate what he proposed and to test his idea to confirm it would solve my issue. I was greatly impressed by this especially considering Robert's solution was considerably less costly than the modification I suggested. When I came back to pick up my bass, I was pleasantly surprised to find Robert had also lubed the tuning gears (which desperately needed it) and touched up some places on the finish that were also in need of minor repair (at no additional charge). This was above and beyond my expectations! My bass hasn't sounded (and looked) this good in years. I drove 55 miles one way to Star City and would not hesitate to make the trip again the next time one of my basses needs anything. I simply can't recommend them highly enough. Great people, friendly service, and fantastic workmanship!!

  I love this place! Lee is a great guy! He's extremely knowledgeable and always happy to help me. As long as this place is open, they'll get my business! If you're a drummer, you won't regret walking through those doors!

  This is a fantastic mom-and-pop shop. I purchased a used instrument a few months ago and had to return a few times for adjustments and information. Every time I have visited I received excellent customer service and sound advice. I would highly recommend being polite and patient. While the staff is amazingly knowledgeable, it is not huge. Oftentimes there were other customers ahead of me, but the staff were always helpful, especially so for well-behaved children. I will be returning to Star City for future purchases and service, and I would happily recommend them to friends, neighbors and acquaintances.

  I went into the drum building with my wife and son. The guy was very helpful! He was also great with my son, showed him what different things sounded like and was great! If I had the money, we would only buy from him.
