  Their theaters are very roomy and comfortable! The chairs recline and have foot rests! This is the most comfortable theater I've been to in a long time! Popcorn, drinks and snacks are quite expensive, however, that's to be expected with any theater.

  Got all my snacked and then went and got my ticket scanned with my friend and they carded us after scanning the tickets, they turned us away because my friend was to young to watch the movie (by a month) and then sense the guy already scanned our tickets we couldn’t get a refund.

  I wouldn’t even give this Layton cinemark a one star. Terrible customer service, refused to let my 16 year old watch a movie with her older 19 year old sister, said a parent or legal guardian had to be present. At that point in time her older sister is the legal guardian of her younger sister. We called gave permission for them to see the movie and were met with the most rude responses and the manager didn’t even continue the conversation instead just stopped responding. This is not the first time this has happened either. We will never go back. Rude disrespectful take all your money elsewhere.

  Me and the wife got dinner at the mall. I hated to throw my leftovers away so I took them in and asked if they would throw them in a fridge for me. They employees were so kind to go above and beyond on my request. I love places who take care of customers. Thanks, Layton Cinemark.

  I am writing to this review as a formal complaint regarding the conduct of the manager at the Layton, Utah location. I recently purchased tickets for my daughter and her friend to see Backrooms, unaware of the policy requiring 17-year-old guests to present identification. My concern is that not all teenagers have a driver’s license or state-issued ID, which may prevent them from attending despite meeting the age requirement. When my daughter called me from the theater, I asked to speak with the manager and inquired where this identification requirement was stated on your website, as I had been unable to find it. Rather than clarifying the policy, the manager became defensive and spoke to me in a rude and dismissive manner. He stated that the policy was “all over the website,” but when I asked where it could be found, he did not provide a clear answer. Instead, he raised his voice and said that the theater could be fined $250,000 if they were caught violating the policy, then asked whether I would pay that fine. I then asked for his name and the name of his supervisor or the owner so I could address the matter appropriately. He refused to provide that information, stated that he was the manager of the theater, and repeatedly interrupted me while I was speaking. When I asked who owned the theater, he said it was irrelevant. I said if you are correct then you shouldn’t worry about me contacting your boss. The interaction escalated further when he told me that, because of my call, he was removing my daughter from the theater. I found this treatment unacceptable and unprofessional. Also, my daughter felt very uncomfortable with him standing over her, yelling at me through the phone. I respectfully request that this incident be reviewed and that I receive clarification regarding the identification policy, where it is communicated to customers, and what steps will be taken to address the manager’s conduct. This manager should be fired for yelling at customers, not addressing problems appropriately. UPDATE Same location. same day, 2 hours later, 3 of my daughters other friends went to the exact same movie and was not with someone 21 yrs old and was not ID and I have evidence of it. So who do I need to contact to have Cinemark or the manager fined for $750,000? I do believe this is profiling/ discrimination, if you have a policy you should ID everyone not just who ever you feel like. I will make sure to turn this over to whatever enity enforces this. After reading other reviews about this location and their management it's apparent that Cinemark doesn't hire the most mature individuals or adults to run their business.
