Great tech, but poor value and disappointing food
I visited Cosm Dallas for the Harry Potter screening, and while the venue is beautifully designed, I was disappointed by the overall value.
We sat in Level 2, Row B, Booth 3, which is an excellent spot with a great view. However, at $75 per person (including tax), the experience felt overpriced for what is essentially a movie on a different screen. At that price point, the value just isn't there; if the tickets were around $45, I would consider returning.
The food was the biggest letdown. Considering the high ticket prices, the concessions were extremely overpriced and poor in quality:
- Regular Popcorn ($10): It was served cold and the "buttery" topping had an unpleasant chemical taste. The quality is far below what you get at a standard Cineplex.
- Themed Popcorn ($18): We tried the Harry Potter-themed version, but it was extremely sweet and effectively inedible - we ended up throwing it out.
- Service: When I asked a server for hot water, I was brought room-temperature water instead, which was frustrating.
Lack of Variety: I was disappointed by the lack of themed snack options. The enchanted experience was $40 and i didn't want all the items they offered. In general, I didn't see staples like Butterbeer or Chocolate Frogs, which would have at least made the "themed" experience feel more authentic.

Don’t waste your time at Cosm. Their number one priority seems to be making money, not providing a good customer experience.
We purchased General Admission tickets for the USA vs. Turkey World Cup game and arrived an hour early because the venue stated that doors would open one hour before game time so guests could get good seats. Instead, we were left standing outside in the hot sun until about 15 minutes before the game started, while corporate groups were escorted inside well before everyone else.
Once we finally got in, the hosts directed General Admission guests to seating behind the black rope. We found a great table, but about 15 minutes later we were told we had to leave because it had been purchased by a corporate group. By that point, every other General Admission seat was already taken, leaving us with nowhere to sit.
We asked to speak with management, hoping they would help us find seating since we had arrived early and followed all of their instructions. Unfortunately, no one offered any assistance or attempted to resolve the situation.
Instead, we ended up standing and watching the game on small TVs rather than enjoying the immersive experience we paid for. The food and drinks were also extremely overpriced, and they place a hold on your credit card while constantly encouraging you to purchase more.
Overall, the experience was disorganized, poorly managed, and disappointing. It was clear that corporate groups and higher-paying customers were prioritized over General Admission guests. Save your money and spend it somewhere that values all of its customers.

There's good and bad, which is why there's 3 stars and not 1.
Starting with the GOOD:
- Amazing atmosphere
- TV's everywhere
- Great food
- Great service
- Staff was very quick and responsive with concerns we had
- The Dome is a neat experience and I want to see a movie there sometime.
- Good date spot
Now for the BAD:
(What they need to work on - more back-end stuff)
- NOT Handicap accessible: Seen in the picture I have here, my Dad is paraplegic (leg's don't work) and when we booked for Game 4 Spurs Vs. Knicks 2026, all I saw was "BOOTH for 6 people". I went ahead and booked it. We did not get a booth, we got a table. A table my Dad could barely reach up and touch it was so tall. Another gentleman in a wheelchair at the next table had the same issue. The servers did what they could, because it was sold out, and they brought my Dad a little table to place his food on. (which was better than nothing, at least they were able to do that.) But still, it felt like he was at the "Kiddy" table during Thanksgiving.
- The Hall: The hall was great except for the fact that the metal fencing up top, and the people seated along that metal fencing, were blocking our view. Never really knew what the score was for a majority of the game because we simply couldn't see it. (Also, I can't begin to image what my dad could/couldn't see. Felt so bad for him since I bought these tickets for his Birthday.)
- The Dome: I did have the pleasure to sit in the dome portion for the 1st basketball game of the season in 2026. My take aways: Sit at the top if you do go, and be ready for weird camera angles that will have you going, "Man, I wish I could just watch the game like normal."
- The Audio: There was an issue with the audio when we went, and I think I figured out what it was. Basically, the broadcast they have comes from their media at the games that they put on the main Dome screen. With commercials and ad's on The Hall tv's, the game get's delayed slightly. So there was a point in time, towards the end of the 3rd quarter, where we were hearing what was happening 20 seconds ahead of time. So we would know what would happen before we saw it.
SUMMARY:
- Food, service, responsiveness of staff, atmosphere, TV size, all great! (Whoever the head manager was at the time of Game 4 Spurs Vs. Knicks 2026, thank you for finding that little table for my Dad to use, you're awesome!)
- Call and check if the seats you have are what you paid for in advance and ask if a handicap person can COMFORTABLY watch the game from said seats.
- Seats that are worth it, Mid Level Hall, and Top of the Dome (maybe middle too).
- If in the hall, you'll have audio hiccups at some point with games because of commercials.

3-Star Review
We came to Cosm Dallas to watch the opening of the World Cup and were very excited about the experience. Although our tickets were listed as General Admission, they also had assigned numbers, which led us to believe capacity would be managed appropriately.
Unfortunately, the venue appeared to be overcrowded. We were unable to find a table or even a comfortable space to sit, eat, or enjoy a drink while watching the event. The lack of available seating and space significantly impacted our experience.
What was even more disappointing was the response from the staff. When we asked for assistance, there seemed to be little effort to find a solution or offer alternatives. We were simply told that there was nothing available. While we understand that large events can be challenging, we expected a greater level of customer service and problem-solving.
The technology, screens, and overall concept are impressive, but it felt like too many tickets were sold
for the available space. In the end, we were unable to enjoy the event as expected and decided to request a refund.
Cosm has a lot of potential, but better crowd management, capacity control, and customer service during major events would greatly improve the overall experience.
