  The place is clean and movies are fun. However, your staff has ABSOLUTELY no idea how to run your POS system. As a person who has operated several different kinds of POS systems you absolutely should have your assistant manager know how to take two separate forms of tender in the same exact transaction. Him not being able to do that is not acceptable for an assistant manager position. You need better training so your staff is not confused. Also would be advantageous to teach them all how to count backwards with money so that they don't have to rely on the machine to tell them how much to give. $10- $1.40 is $8.60. That is not a difficult math equation and absolutely should be able to be executed by an assistant manager. Edit: Your team isn't trained. Thats your fault not theirs. Let's not blame them.

  Disappointed with the experience today. My child had been looking forward to this popcorn promotion all week, so we walked in excited and smiling, ready to enjoy the deal. Last year, I went to the New Caney location, and they actually filled our container all the way to the top. I understand there is a 400 oz limit, and I completely understand that Cinemark has a lot of people to serve during a promotion like this. That’s not the problem. It’s just disappointing when something is promoted a certain way, you walk in excited expecting that experience, and then it’s not quite what was advertised. That excitement and smile you walked in with kind of goes away. I brought two containers, paid $5 for each, and neither was filled to the top. They were even filled slightly differently, with one having less popcorn than the other. I was actually ready to show it off to my friends and tell them, “Look, the deal is legit! Go get yours!” 😂 I was also excited to bring the popcorn to our Labor Day BBQ with the family today and show everyone what we got. I’m not trying to make a huge deal over popcorn. I understand there are limits and a lot of customers to serve. I just wish our experience had matched the excitement we had going in, especially after looking forward to it all week. Well, now we know. Maybe next time we’ll try a different location and see if they fill them to the top like New Caney did last year.
