Nobody explains what to do or where to go. Waste of money if u have to scavenger hunt for the way up. They also had multiple doors locked on the outlook which made it confusing. I walked into a private dinner on accident because the door was unlocked and looked like a normal path up from the lookout. As soon as I walked in the worker was super rude and was instantly questioning me even after I said I must have went the wrong way. I told her how the doors were locked and she didn't believe me. Honestly the view is beautiful but everyone there is so rude. Please work on your staff because it makes an awful impression and honestly ruined my day.

Honestly this experience really was all over the place. Outside is clean and well kept. I purchased my ticket online in advanced, they also offer tickets at the door. I expected them to be fairly busy but there wasn’t a line to enter or buy tickets. I went around 7:30 on a Friday night. I walked in and went straight to the restroom and then had gone to the elevators. There was a gentlemen in the corner who was an elevator operator but I hadn’t realized he worked there. When I got on the elevator he was just sitting on his phone, didn’t acknowledge me or anything so I thought he was just another guest visiting the tower. I looked and none of the buttons were pressed so I reached for the button to go up to the observation deck and he smacked my hand. Even then he didn’t say anything and we stood there staring at each other for about 2 minutes before he asked where I was going. It is completely unacceptable for staff member to touch guests in anyway. When I spoke to a manager about this she seemed very indifferent and unconcerned. They gave me two tickets to come back and just kept saying she would talk to him. The observation deck itself was nice. There’s two sections. An inside center portion and an outside portion. The outside portion your able to feel the wind and walk around the circular shape of the deck. The inside portion is circular shaped with a coffee shop. Someone had spilled popcorn all across the inside area and it was crushed and scattered everywhere. I found myself leaving earlier than I had wanted to because of how disappointing this visit had been. They do have a restraunt and bar that I didn’t visit. They do souvenirs photos in the lobby. The elevators are glass so as you go up you can see outside to the city. Parking is available, it is pay to park.

If can give this no stars I would! I had high expectations for this place considering the “high-class” reputation and strict dress code, but the experience was honestly a complete disaster. The only thing this restaurant truly has going for it is the view. Other than that, it was one disappointment after another. I went on Mother’s Day expecting a special experience, especially with how much this place promotes itself as upscale and exclusive, but it was far from it. First off, they make you reserve a table ahead of time, yet they still couldn’t even honor the reservation time. We ended up waiting over 30 minutes before we were finally seated, which completely defeats the purpose of making a reservation in the first place. To make matters worse, everyone working the hostess stand seemed completely lost and confused. There was no organization, no communication, and no sense of urgency. For a restaurant that claims to be this high-end, the management seriously needs improvement because the front-of-house operation looked unprepared and poorly managed. The service was terrible from the start. We were switched between waiters multiple times, and nobody seemed organized or attentive. It felt like no one knew who was actually taking care of our table. The food was even worse. For a restaurant that tries to present itself as upscale, the food had almost no flavor at all. Several dishes came out extremely dry, and my salad barely had any dressing on it. Nothing tasted fresh or worth the price. To make things worse, the picture they take downstairs by the elevator never even made it to us. For a place that focuses so much on presentation and “experience,” they completely failed at delivering either. I live in San Antonio, and I honestly would never recommend the food here to anyone visiting the city. You can get a much better meal and overall experience elsewhere for the price. The views are nice, but that’s about the only positive thing I can say about this place. Never again.

We had brunch here for mother's day, and the view was amazing, unfortunately, the actual food was bad. My brother and I got the prime rib, medium rare, it looked like they over cooked it, then put some kind of coloring on one side to make it look medium rare, there wasnt even any juice in it, and it had little flavor, they just put the seasoning in little clumps on top, so sometimes there would be no flavor, or the flavor overpowered. And the potatoes tasted mostly unseasoned and mediocre. My Mom got a tuna steak, or something, and it was undercooked, she's feeling sick. We had to wait almost an hour and a half for our entree, after she took the salads, we ended up being late to our other plans because they took so long. And to top it all off, the only meals were $80 a person. On the plus side however, this review only applies to the restraint, I haven't seen the lounge or anything else yet, so if you want to go for the views you definitely should.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Honestly, the experience at the Tower of the Americas restaurant was extremely disappointing. We waited around 40 minutes just to get seated, which was already frustrating, but it got even worse after that. Once we were finally at the table, we waited another 30 minutes before anyone even came to take our order or acknowledge us. The staff kept giving excuses instead of actually helping or communicating properly. For a place that’s supposed to offer a premium dining experience, the service was completely unacceptable and very unorganized. The view is beautiful, but unfortunately the customer service ruined the entire experience. Definitely not worth the long wait or the frustration. I expected much better professionalism and attention to customers.
