  My husband and I came here for a midday early birthday celebration. We came to the Tinseltown Cinemark in Houston to see the new Spider-Man movie. The movie started at 1:50pm and our tickets cost $21 total after buying them online the day before. The theater was empty and we had the place to ourselves for a little while, while previews were showing. A couple family’s came in but we were all spread out. We were on the luxury lounge and the chairs were very comfortable and had the option to recline. Customer service was excellent.

  Today I was very upset as a customer of Tinseltown I wanted to see a late night movie and accidentally left my phone it was the last movie showing I called and I let Gavin know and asked him would he go get my phone and hold it for me because he told me they were about to close and I stay pretty far so on the next day I called them and I let them know that I was coming to pick up my phone they let me know that they didn't have the phone and I was very upset at Gavin because I told him the third party cleaners that they hire will steal my phone and for him to be a manager is just disappointing that's almost a $700 phone at this time it doesn't take much it just take one person to go the extra mile I'm hoping they'll ask the third party company about my phone but the lady manager I guess that is Miss Tina was very rude and nasty with me over the phone it's almost like she didn't want to hear what I was saying so if you go to Tinseltown best of luck to you

  I guess you get what you pay for; when you sacrifice quality for quantity. I have a membership to both AMC and Cinemark. AMC cost more, but as members you are valued, you do not wait in line with a prepaid ticket or when getting your food. Cinemark is cheaper but is trash, very very poor customer service, membership just means you get in line like everyone else and food cost more. And let me emphasize you wait in line like everyone else; even if you have a membership with a prepaid tickets on your phone and for food. Please listen to both vedio to see and hear what transpire at this location. I am very disappointed that Cinemark would employ leadership and employee that does not see their members and customers as value patriots. But is pleased to announce that my membership has been canceled, and last three months of memership fee has been refunded. Parties involved Gm: Tina Lowery, who did not attempt to even give us guest pass to use at another location. But it's okay because I got my last 3 months of membership fees back. Javan Plummer assistant manager: was the only one that offer to assist us ... I really appreciate the effort he made, although Tina stop him. Washington,[officer] who made the decision that we needed to leave for talking to other guests about feeling the same way.. Listening when this occurs please leave because you never want to be where you are not welcome and the quality of sevice is beyond poor. The lesson in this is that the pen is mightier than the sword. I will not argue, fuss or fight with companies like because the spiderman can be seen at any theater, and loyal members are always willing to pay more where they are valued.

  Today was one of the busiest and most chaotic theater experiences I’ve seen in a long time. Guests seemed frustrated, employees looked exhausted, and there were multiple situations happening throughout the building. It was obvious the staff was stretched thin, but one thing that stood out was seeing management constantly walking the theater instead of hiding in an office. There was even extra security on site, which made me feel like they were taking everyone’s safety seriously. We placed an online order that ended up taking around 43 minutes, and by that point we were understandably disappointed. The young lady working on online ordering was alittle slower paced. We brought it to the attention of Assistant Manager Javan, and instead of making excuses or passing us off to someone else, he stopped what he was doing, listened to every concern we had, apologized sincerely, and personally made sure our order was taken care of. He even offered to bring our order to my theatre so we didn’t miss more of Spiderman. What impressed me most wasn’t just that the issue was fixed, but instead it was how it was handled. Throughout what looked like an incredibly stressful day, Javan never lost his smile. While other employees understandably looked overwhelmed by everything happening around them, he greeted every guest with kindness, remained calm under pressure, and treated us as though we were the only customers that mattered in that moment. That’s the kind of customer service you can’t train into someone. It comes from genuinely caring about people. Anyone can provide good service when the theater is quiet, but it takes a true leader to provide exceptional service when everything around them is falling apart. We left much happier than we arrived, and that’s entirely because of the way Javan handled the situation. I truly hope Cinemark recognizes employees like him. He turned what could have been a one-star experience into a five-star one. Thank you to him and the rest of the team for continuing to push through such a difficult day. We’ll definitely be back.
