Went with daughter's JHigh Theater group field trip as a chaperone. Had a great time, and good/drink prices weren't as expensive as I expected. My only 2 suggestions are: more bathrooms and water fountains. I was informed I could bring an empty, reusable bottle but had no access to fresh water other than the sink. So, in order to stay hydrated you have to drink sink water or purchase water.

Me and my grandbabies had a wonderful time. It was so convenient that the beach was right by all of those amazing rides. The rides were real thrillers, and the food was amazing. Will definitely be taking my little dumplings back to that fun, amazing, wonderful, entertaining, fantastic, 10/10 pier. This surely was a magical visit.

DISCRIMINATION AND no one bother to contact me back after promising! Okay great. Now SEEKING LEGAL ACTIONS!! I DONT PLAY ABOUT DISABILITIES!!! I’m speaking on what happened to my family at Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier because what we experienced was beyond disrespectful, and I refuse to stay quiet about it and I am also seeking answers to why! I purchased two wristbands for my daughter and myself because we were the ones planning to ride and enjoy the attractions. My husband came with us, like he always does, to be part of the memories taking pictures, supporting us, and being there with his family. My husband is paralyzed COMPLETELY!! and wheelchair-bound. He was not there to ride anything or participate in anything because physically he cannot. He cannot participate in the rides or attractions they offer. When I explained this to the woman at the ticket window, she completely understood. She saw my husband, understood the situation, and there was no issue. She was so sweet!! The issue started when we got to security. As we were going through the checkpoint so they could check our wristbands, security immediately started questioning where was my husband’s wristband I explained and that’s when he questioned whether my husband was “really paralyzed” or if we were just trying to get him in for free. Let that sink in. A disabled man, in his wheelchair, was being questioned and judged like he had to prove his disability. That was humiliating. And what made it worse was that I was trying to explain, and security kept speaking over me, cutting me off, and flat-out saying he didn’t care. Didn’t care? Then the manager came over, and instead of correcting the situation or showing compassion, even she said she didn’t know if my husband was “really paralyzed.”band she agreed she even stated how many tattoos he had!! What the hell?’ That right there is what pushed this whole situation over the edge. I started snapping I went into defense mode! I was angry and rightfully so. But I calmed myself down and made the decision to refund the tickets and leave because at that point, the experience was ruined very angry No family should have to go through that. No disabled person should ever have to prove their disability to enjoy being present with their loved ones. And for the record I understand all places have different policies. I understand businesses have rules. But there is a difference between enforcing policy and disrespecting someone’s disability. My husband wasn’t asking to ride for free. He wasn’t asking for special treatment. He was simply there to be present with his family, make memories, and take pictures. And I strongly believe if someone is physically unable to participate in the rides or attractions, they should not be forced to pay admission just to sit on the sidelines. This isn’t just about my husband. I’m speaking up for ALL disabled people who have ever been judged, questioned, embarrassed, or made to feel less than because their disability didn’t “look right” to someone else. Disabilities are real. Disabilities deserve respect. And people with disabilities deserve dignity. Do better.

It was alot of fun we just went to the beach ⛱️ no rides they looked great though. We just sat on the beach while the kids played in the sand or in the water was very relaxing. They had an awesome gift shop you go in one side of it and could walk across this covered boardwalk into the other side they had all kinds of souvenirs they had shirts 👕, hats 👒, toys 🧸 🔫 pretty much anything you could want to satisfy everyone. They even had beach chairs all over under the covered boardwalk so you could sit there enjoying the ocean breeze. We was able to park in this huge parking lot for $15 all day which I thought was pretty decent and a Wendy's right across from the beach. All I know is my family really enjoyed it and that's all I could ask for it was a great day and we hope to do it again soon. Enjoy!!!
