This volunteer-run native garden is nestled between the towering brick buildings of Sundquist Science Center on APSU's campus. Featuring forbs, grasses, shrubs and trees that are native to the Southeastern region of our United States, this garden is sure to have something you've never seen before! It is an oasis of nature just outside the classrooms, inviting students, faculty, and anyone with an interest to come enjoy a refreshing seat in the shade or in the sun along the path. The Southeastern Grasslands Institute is behind the scenes of this little spot of biodiversity, and everyone is welcome to join our Volunteer Team.
