  Spider-Man was everything. glad I was finally able to get a good seat the concession lines were a lot longer than usual but that’s to be expected with the number 1 movie. I had a great time watching the movie here the only issue was how the other patrons in line didn’t know what they wanted and held up the lines longer than they needed to be. The guy in front of me was straight up a Karen or the male equivalent of one… a “Karl” Bro if they don’t have it they don’t have it. No need to get the manager and to yell about putting up a sign meanwhile there’s like 40 people behind you still waiting to get to the movie

  This place is amazing, you get a great deal compared to the other theater in town. Their seats are comfortable, and they keep the lines moving. We chose to see the new Spider-Man movie on opening weekend Sunday during the matinee, the entire place was packed. Not an empty seat in the theater. The snack bar was incredibly busy, however everyone was working hard to make sure we got what we needed. The manager on duty Kendra I think was her name, was very nice and paused the order she was bagging just to get me a refill. She saved me from missing too much of my movie had I needed to stand in line again. I love coming to this place, I’ll surely be back! Thanks for being an awesome local theater!

  I waited in line for over 20min to purchase a pack and pop, but when I finally got to the front of the line I was told they were out of bags. So as the customer, I offered them a solution to scoop the approximate equivalent amount of popcorn into one of the large white paper bags. The register attendant (who was very nice) ask the manger and maybe the assistant manager if this was possible they said "No", because it wouldn't let them even ring up in the system. In my experience with customer service if a customer has been patiently waiting in line the manager should offer a solution (which in this case I did), maybe say "Hey, I'm sorry we are out of bags, but what I can do is ring up up for a large popcorn and fill one of these togo bags". There was no attempt to try and problem solve or meet the customers needs, I totally understand they were very busy and it was stressful, but the manager didn't try to meet, the needs of the customer. This was my first time to the Summerville Cinemark and I'm very displeased with the type of service. I will be calling customer support to discuss and I will find out the names of the managers in charge that day. If I could give less than 1 star I would because I left empty handed!!

  Nothing like a hot theater and stale popcorn. Terrible experience. People flock to the movie theaters this time of year to escape the summer heat. Sitting in a hot theater is insane. This is the 2nd time I’ve been here and it was hot the first time I was here as well. You can’t call yourself a serious theater if you fail to keep a room cool. Do better. I left the theater during the movie to talk with management about the theater being hot. They said they’d do something about it. Nothing changed. I sweat through a 3-hour movie. I’m not a hot-natured person, for context. I asked for fresh popcorn after the first bucket was stale. Somehow the fresh popcorn out of the popper was stale too. This is my first 1-star review. I hate writing bad reviews, but upper management needs to make some changes. Complete disregard for the customer experience.

  This theater is great, but it really needs to stop allowing babies and very young children into regular showings. At this morning's screening of Spider-Man: A New Day, three adults brought three young children. One wasn't even old enough to sit in a seat and cried throughout much of the movie, while the other two repeatedly ran up and down the aisles and danced in front of the screen. If your child isn't able to sit quietly through a movie, please wait until they're older or arrange for a sitter. Everyone else paid to enjoy the film, and it's frustrating when the experience is disrupted because parents aren't managing their children. I really enjoy this theater, which is why I hope Cinemark will consider offering some adults-only or child-free showings. I think a lot of moviegoers would appreciate having that option.
