We walked in a little confused as to where to go to scan our tickets and a group of the staff was at the front desk just talking with each other and staring at us? A hello and some direction would have been nice. Other than the awkward interaction with the staff, the theater was nice!

Absolutely love this movie theater! They're very busy with audiences, I really happy to see Portland getting a lot of new audiences from out of state and cities. Hope in the future they will renovate the exterior of the theater to makes it more modernized.

We went out last night and watched Toy Story 5. The theater was packed with audiences, and it took us about five minutes to find a parking spot because it was so busy. The employees were chill and friendly—they even helped us get our seats back because some people were sitting in them when they weren’t supposed to. I’m glad the employees did their job.

My husband and i love coming here to watch movies. The recliner seats just make the experience so much better, way more comfortable than regular movie theater seats. Snack selection is kinda boring (wish they would add more options) but for a couple extra dollars they will hand deliver your food and drinks to you seat, so thats a nice touch 👌 Only weird experience we have had was one time an employee sat in the back and then yelled "THE MOM DIES" as he left the auditorium (thanks for the spoiler i guess???) 💀

Although we truly appreciate the large comfy recliners that these theaters are outfitted with, And we will continue to choose this theater just on account of how comfortable it is to watch a movie here, I was truly disappointed by the endless barrage of loud, obnoxious commercials that was playing on the screen during the lead-up time to the start of the show. And I'm not talking about previews. I'm not talking about little ads reminding us that you can get concessions or join a loyalty program for Cinemark etc. I'm talking loud, fast, sensory assaulting television style commercials. The ones that you mute when you're at home watching television. I've paid for my seat. I find it insulting to my intelligence that I have to sit there as a captive audience while I wait for the show to watch a bunch of corporate advertisements. It's nerve-wracking. It's unsettling. It completely ruins the vibe. Think about when you go to a movie. Part of the experience is the anticipation. The environment. The ambience. You walk up the ramp into the darkened room and the mood lights and guide you to your seat where you sit and relax for 5 or 10 minutes in the lead-up to the start of showtime. You wrap up your conversations with your companions, and maybe there's a little bit of music playing and maybe even a little bit of movie trivia flashing across the screen. Nope. That's all gone here at Cinemark. Now when you walk into the theater 15 or 20 minutes early, you will be assaulted by an endless machine gun fire of commercials blasted in your face. There's no escape. Short of just walking out into the hallway and sitting there until it's over. Which, in hindsight, I should have done and I will remind myself to do next time. Because after sitting there squirming uncomfortably to get through it, my nerves were fried by the time the movie actually started. There's so many things today that remind me that we're actually living in Idiocracy now, and this is just another one.
