The Robins Theatre in Warren, Ohio was commissioned by Daniel Robins, an early partner of Abraham Warner of the famed Warner Brothers.
The Robins Theatre opened to a full house on January 9, 1923. The stage was used for vaudeville productions, screening motion pictures and live theatre. It remained in continuous operation until 1974, when the doors were permanently closed. By 2017, the theatre remained almost completely original, however, more than 45 years of vacancy had taken its toll.
In December of 2017, the Robins Theatre was purchased by Downtown Development Group (DDG), which committed to restoring the theatre in two years with as much historical accuracy as possible. The Robins Theatre reopened to a full house on January 9, 2020.
We live in Erie, PA and travel 90 minutes to Robin's Theater in Warren, OH about 5 X's each year. The 100+ year old renovated theater is always a fast and fun destination for us to travel. The shows that they bring in be it vintage oldies acts or tribute bands are always a treat. There's not a bad seat in the house and all of the staff are helpful, personable and friendly. Ticket prices are more than reasonable and at the (ca$h only) concessions stand they don't gouge you, and intentionally keep prices down. Just saw Al Jardine's PET SOUNDS band last night and they put on a amazing performance. You can't go wrong visiting Warren, OH and Robin's Theater for a FABtastic Time :)

The Robins theater is a gem. The outside doesn't look like much, but the beautiful auditorium is a sight to see. I saw a concert there and really appreciated how nice the sound was. Extra idea - around the corner is Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters/Nirvana) Alley. If you go down the alleyway, you'll find a brewery at the bottom. Go next to that and there is a large mural re: Dave and the World's Largest set of drumsticks 🥁. Dave was born in Warren, Ohio and lived here up to about 3 years old. This is an homage to his connection to the city.
