About

Comedy Club
Since 1963, the Improvisation Comedy Clubs have set the standard for live stand-up in the U.S., launching generations of comedy’s biggest stars. The original Improv opened in New York City in 1963, shaping modern stand-up and serving as a proving ground for legends like Robin Williams, Andy Kaufman, and George Carlin. Though the NYC location closed in 1992, the legacy never faded. Now, 34 years later, the Improv returns to New York with a new home in Brooklyn at 64 N 9th Street in Williamsburg, near the Bedford Ave subway and North Williamsburg ferry — bringing top comedians and rising stars back to NYC.

All around good place. My only two complaints is that the seats can be a uncomfortable after an hour and the food quantity isn't great for it's price. We paid for tickets to enter and then they have a two-purchase minimum which adds ~$25, I would prefer to order the drinks over food as they were good. *On my visit, I went to see Nate Jackson and each comedian that went up their was hilarious.

Attended a last minute comedy show for Mojo that was put together in under 24 hours and everything was great. Customer service, food and drinks. Clean and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Will go back

First time at this venue and it did not disappoint. Staff courteous and professional. Venue's seating and spacing between other patrons were comfortable unlike other tight cramped comedy venues I've been in the past. Also the gentleman with the long loc down his back was especially pleasant and helpful, he got my delayed orders without hesitation.

The manager Mikey is amazing. My wife and I were there Sunday night for Trevor Wallace, and we bought tickets last second online. We got scammed and it was full house, we thought we had to head back to the hotel. Mikey found out what the situation was, and let us buy two general admission tickets. We let him know that we got Married that this past Friday, and comped our food and drinks. He made our last night in NYC incredible.
