  Went to a show tonight and while the act was great, The service of the venue was a complete 0. I ordered food before the show started and even after the show was over I never received the food (1.5 Hours later). I reached out to a staff even 30 minutes into the show, he placed an additional order for me. Did I receive it? No. While the waiter tried, it was truly the manager that was the absolute worst. The waiter directed me to him after the show ended so that I could get a refund. Did i even receive an apology from the manager? No he actually acted as if I was a burden. His immediate response was to get annoyed by not finding my order (one I placed, closed a tab on and even tipped ! On) and then immediately bring up policy about 2 order minimum on a tab, no sense of hospitality and no apology. (Mind you, I ordered an additional 2 drinks and a water on a separate tab earlier.) In the end he had issues refunding me and said the food order was voided even though he could not provide me a receipt of the total including tip being refunded. Now I’m to wait some days in hope that it went through? I think if you mess up, the response is not to get defense and offensive at the customer. I never received food nor was my bill taken care of anything else. I would absolutely avoid coming here again.

  My experience at the Brooklyn Improv was beyond exceptional! I can’t thank the staff enough for all the hard work they put in. A few weeks ago I was visiting from Connecticut and arrived early. At the time my phone was having trouble charging with my car charger. I made it there using GPS, but I definitely didn’t have enough battery left to get back home. So I asked a staff member (Maisha, I believe) if she could help. She was more than happy to, and went completely above and beyond her job to take care of me. I’m so appreciative! Shout-out to Nick as well, he was looking out for me the whole time. Besides making sure my phone was charging in a safe place, both he and Maisha shared some great insight and background on the history of the Improv. They were both incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely committed to giving every guest the best possible experience at the Brooklyn Improv. They really made my experience just perfect. They both deserve a raise honestly!

  The show itself is great but the three staff that sit at the chair by the door (pretty sure they’re staff because everyone has a table due to the order two items minimum policy and one of them is standing even) talks very loudly during the show the WHOLE time. Obviously you can talk to people during the show but not at that volume. The craziest thing is when I asked them to lower the volume they shushed me in return????
