  Went to the Mystery Room at Palisades Center as part of my multi-day birthday celebration! My daughter and I played the Treasure Island mystery game! Our hosts were Joey and Victoria and they were very helpful in explaining the game rules and tips (nothing that gives the game away or makes the game easier)! At first it seemed daunting, but when we finally got started, we were on a roll!! I LOVE solving puzzles and this mystery was very challenging. It really made us THINK and PROBLEM-SOLVE!! You have to keep your eyes peeled and read the clues “beyond” their surface meaning!! ;-) You get 60 minutes and the host informed us at 30 minutes that no one had gotten as far as we did without asking for clues! We had LOTS of fun and solved the mystery in 43 minutes WITHOUT having to buzz for ANY clues from the hosts!! SO PROUD of us!!!! :-)

  My mom and I came to Palisades today for a lowkey birthday celebration for her. For the activity portion of our day, we decided to do an escape room! We did the “Treasure Island” room which the majority of people who enter, are able to escape. We wanted to give ourselves the best chance of escaping possible lol. We walked in on-the-fly, no appointment or booking, and were immediately able to pay, sign a waiver, and play! They advertise that it costs $26.99 per person, but that’s only for large groups. Since it was just the two of us, it was really $32.99 per person, which was not super surprising. Similar attractions at Palisades (i.e immersive gamebox, time mission, etc.) are about that same price. Regardless, we had tons of fun! Victoria & Joey were very helpful at preparing everything and walking us through the entire check-in process, room rules, and types of locks we would encounter. With an hour on the clock to start, my mom & I escaped the room with 17 minutes left. AND, we never even had to call for help or ask for a clue! Altogether, an extremely positive experience. We will we back to try another room in the near future!

  The Zombie Apocalypse is very challenging. Our group did NOT make it---we were one clue away (last lock wasn't opening---maybe we gave up on it, but we actually had the right combo; still we would have needed at least 10 more mins for last clue). We still had fun solving the clues. We did ask for a couple of hints...that's how hard it is! Otherwise, we were proud how far we got.

  We had a great time at the escape room, and Victoria was a great host. The challenge was difficult but fun, and everybody got involved. The hints were helpful too, and it was an easy location for everybody to get to. Would highly recommend.
