  We saw Titanique at a Saturday matinee and scored rush tickets in Row E. Close enough to feel like we had boarded the ship ourselves. Even from the far edge of the theater, we had a great view of the stage. The sound was noticeably muffled during some of the songs, likely because of where we were seated. It didn’t ruin the experience, but it was enough to notice. Everything else ran smoothly. We moved through security efficiently, were seated quickly with Playbills in hand, and the bathrooms were clean with a quick in-and-out, a minor miracle anywhere in Midtown. We didn’t purchase concessions or merchandise, but both areas appeared to be moving efficiently without much of a line. My only other small note is that opening the exit doors on both sides after the show might have helped everyone disembark a little faster. Thankfully, that was the only bottleneck involving Titanique. Overall, the St. James is a beautiful, well-run theater, and I would happily return.

  Lovely theater. Accessible bathroom is on the second floor and there is an elevator. Good sound and visuals from row k, orchestra center.

  They say theater begins at the coat check. In this case it began at the box office — and that's exactly where any desire to go ended. The staff greeted me with pointed coldness and sour faces. When I tried to strike up a normal conversation — asked a question, requested some advice, asked their opinion about the cast — all I got back was rudeness and arrogance, as if I were dealing with royalty. I did end up buying the ticket. But after a welcome like that, I have no desire to go — I'll give it to the first passerby I see. If this is how they treat a customer before you've even walked into the hall, it's hard to expect anything good from the show itself. They completely ruined my mood.

  Just off Times Square on 44th Street. Very friendly and helpful staff getting you to your seating. Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available. Popcorn, candy, and some snacks to choose from. Seating is a little tight along with steep stairs in the upper seating. Acoustics make you feel you are in the middle of the band. Saw Titanique. Singers had great voices. Some language not suitable for young ears.

  If you haven’t seen Titanique, you need to. It is, without question, the most historically accurate retelling of the Titanic disaster… as narrated by Celine Dion, who was obviously there. Bazinga. Nannette somehow managed to get us front row center seats. We were so close the actors were practically performing in our laps. They interacted with me several times throughout the show and, by the end, I somehow wound up with the giant blue jewel from the movie. I’ll leave it at that because I refuse to spoil the fun. Now, the official reason we went was because Jim Parsons is in the cast. But let’s be honest. “Jim Parsons” may be the name on his birth certificate, but my brain only recognizes him as Sheldon Cooper. I know he was playing an entirely different character, yet the whole time I couldn’t shake the image that Sheldon had somehow lost a bet with Leonard. The punishment? Spend the summer starring in a Broadway musical. The mental image alone made an already hilarious show even funnier. Go see it. Don’t read too much about it. Just buy the ticket and let the absurdity wash over you. It’s one of the funniest musicals I’ve seen in a long time.
