  The museum itself was overall okay but honestly not worth the $50 ticket. Not only do some of the games cost $5 to play, but the game tokens only give you ONE play per game. There are some cool features like a slide and boob bouncy house but if you use the slide, you are expected to stay in that area and cannot return to the original room upstairs. I don’t understand how you can give customers 18 credits and we only ended up using 4. If visiting the city, there are plenty of other experiences and museums that give you more freedom and actually worth the money.

  Total waste of money and a complete tourist trap. The actual Museum is a small room with limited items. Though what they have is interesting it’s not enough to feel like you’re getting what you paid for. Also feels very tame for being the museum of sex. I don’t need anything over the top but come on. You’d get a better experience just going into a sex shop or hanging out at a LGBTQ leather bar. The rest of it is lame games and trendy New York junk. Could be a very interesting museum if it were tried a bit harder to be an actual uuuuuhhhhh museum.

  Honestly, this was a very disappointing experience. Other than a few sex toys and related displays, I really couldn’t see how most of the exhibits had anything. Around two-thirds of the museum seemed to consist of random, low-quality games and installations, such as claw machines and slides. There was very little meaningful or interesting content, and I was expecting something much more thoughtful or educational about sex, sexuality, or sexual culture. Considering how expensive the admission is, I really don’t think it’s worth the money. Overall, there was very little to see and even less to learn. I definitely would not recommend it.

  Unfortunately, I came from out of town and was turned away at the door because I had leftover food with me. As a tourist, it was very inconvenient because we naturally have bags and personal belongings with us while traveling. I was really looking forward to visiting this establishment, but the way I was treated by the door host was extremely disappointing. The interaction felt unnecessarily rude and disrespectful. I understand that businesses may have policies, but there is a respectful way to communicate them to patrons. After this experience, I would not feel comfortable spending my money at an establishment where I don’t feel welcomed or respected.

  This is like legit bad. I have no idea how this place has 4.5 stars. We came here thinking that we will learn about the history of sex, how things evolved in different societies etc. We had high expectations. They did not deliver. We truly felt like we were scammed. There is only one floor where there are real exhibits. They are almost exclusively from the last 100 years. Some interesting stuff, but nothing remarkable. We were like oh they must have other interesting stuff upstairs. We were mistaken. They have some paintings upstairs. Unclear what those paintings really add into the museum. No explanation next to them. Then you go up and you suddenly find yourself in a underwhelming arcade. They are trying to sell you credits so you can play the games more than once, however all the games… suck? Sorry. Then you find yourself at the bar. We were too frustrated at that point, we left without ordering anything. And yes, there is a sex shop at the ground floor. And it’s not even good. This entire place felt like they decided to add “sex” into their name to bring horny teenagers going on a date.
