  Fabulous experience at Eugene O’Neill theatre. Beautiful design inside - very old worldly but the seats were oh so comfy (unlike many theatres where you feel squashed in without enough room). And the show itself The Book of Mormon was just fantastic

  I don’t know about the rest of the theater but the mezzanine seats were REALLY uncomfortable. I’m all of 5’3 and my knees were crammed into the back in front of me. The theater was really pretty, the show was great, but good gracious I had to buy a double whiskey during intermission to numb the pain from those seats!!!

  I went to see The Book of Mormon at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre and, unfortunately, the seating made the experience very uncomfortable. I was in Mezzanine Right, Row K, Seat 126, and the seat was extremely narrow with very limited space between the armrests. I measured with my iPhone and the space for my legs is 4.5 inches. I understand this is a historic Broadway theatre and that seating can be tighter than in modern venues, but this was beyond what I expected. I was uncomfortable throughout the entire show and constantly had to adjust my position instead of being able to fully enjoy the performance. I’m attaching photos to show just how limited the space was. For the price of a Broadway ticket, I think the theatre should either address this issue or clearly inform customers about particularly narrow seats before they purchase.

  What a great experience! Book of Mormon was absolutely amazing and the theatre and staff are wonderful. My only criticism is that from where we were sitting the sound was peaking too much in the loud parts until it was really unpleasant to listen to

  Unprofessional Security Team & Gaslighting Management I am writing this to alert local residents and pet owners about a very disappointing and upsetting experience outside the Eugene O’Neill Theatre. On Sunday, I was walking my small dog past the theatre on W 49th St. My dog was simply doing what dogs naturally do—sniffing near the stanchion/queue belt. I was right next to my dog and actively using the "Come" command to guide it away. Out of nowhere, and with zero prior verbal communication, one of the security guards posted outside forcefully stomped his foot directly at my small dog to intentionally startle it. Immediately after, both guards on duty laughed at us. What is even more disgraceful than the security team's unprovoked intimidation of a small animal is how theatre management handled my formal complaint: False Assumptions: Management attempted to justify the guard’s aggressive stomp by claiming my dog was "about to relieve itself" on their equipment—basing this entirely on silent CCTV footage of my dog sniffing. Sniffing is sensory, not an intent to urinate, and my dog was already responding to my recall command. Absurd Excuses: They framed a sudden, aggressive foot-stomp as a "preventative safety measure to protect equipment," completely ignoring the fact that professional security should communicate verbally with the owner first rather than intentionally scaring a pet. Gaslighting & Zero Accountability: When I pointed out that both guards laughed right after startling my dog, management brushed it off by stating, "we cannot assume intent behind laughter." They conveniently hid behind silent footage to minimize the guards' misconduct and disclaimed responsibility by blaming third-party contractors. Instead of taking accountability, offering a genuine apology, or ensuring a safe environment for neighborhood passersby, management chose to write long, defensive essays to invalidate my experience and protect unprofessional staff. If you are walking your dog in Midtown, be extremely cautious around this building. Sniffing nearby might make your pet a target for security guards looking for entertainment, and management will only defend their behavior. Extremely disappointing for a prominent NYC venue.
