  Great museum! I really learned a lot. There are so many great exhibits and interesting facts about both historical and modern punk rock. We did a self-guided tour, but if I went again, I would definitely do a guided tour. The docents walking around the museum would stop by and point out some really cool artifacts, letters, and people pictured in the exhibits that we otherwise might have missed. Highly recommend!

  Our daughter is a huge punk fan and loves NOFX, so it was only fitting that we visited the Punk Rock Museum on our last trip to Las Vegas. I was impressed by the collection — it was great seeing items spanning all the different genres of punk, including a moving Tony Sly memorial, an big exhibit dedicated to Social Distortion, and a display showcasing the New York punk scene. They even have a jam room where you can play instruments donated by punk bands, which was a highlight for our daughter. Everyone who worked there was incredibly knowledgeable, and the gentleman working the bar (Blue Hair) was wonderful to talk to.

  The Punk Rock Museum was definitely the highlight of our Vegas trip. Absolutely loved the place. Only sour note that left a shitty taste in our mouth: the guy at the cash register wasnt down with the 2-for-1 ticket deal for August (Monday through Thursday), even though it was Monday but yeah we click after the payment cash was done on site. Ended up paying full price for my wife and I. Maybe it was our faces or our Québécois accent, which would be totally understandable. That said, it would’ve been awesome to have a "Good news guys ,2for1 today !!! ", that extra $50 would have been used toward some souvenir T-shirts instead. We couldn’t really figure out why it kept bothering us after the tour but it finally clicked on the ride back to the hotel, sweaty ass on the Deuce, nothing like a ninja chop to the throat, in our own sanctuary, by our own...

  This is a must do experience, without question. For older ones, like me, this is a hallowed temple. And to have a guided tour by the legend David J was indescribable. My brain couldn't comprehend the amount of history that one person could embody, and then to be in the same space as them was overwhelming. I'm pretty sure I blacked out for a while, and was turned into a mindless zombie. As were most of the others in our tour, I think, we were all overcome by emotions, history and adoration. I apologize to David J if we seemed like a quiet crowd, i think we were in too much awe and didnt want to embarrass ourselves in front of him! We were also joined, unexpectedly, on the tour by John Cameron Mitchell and Rob Ruckus!! Thank you for providing this space and experience, I cant wait to tour it again. There is a larger amount of artifacts than I had expected, and the space is well planned and displayed, showing the progression of punk from the very beginning and expanding to different branches and cities. I wish there were more displays to the women of punk, Excene, Siouxsie, more Poly Styrene, Dinah Cancer, and more women behind the scenes like Vivienne Westwood and Penelope Spheeris, as well as men, and the unsung artists, muses or communities that made the scene thrive and grow and expand. Early Seattle/NW punk bands, like the Melvins, Umen, Accused and especially Green River, were practically unrepresented even tho they had a major influence on almost all bands that came shortly after. I hope the museum continues to thrive and grow, please support it!! One of my favorite aspects to this scene is that it is almost entirely dependant on a small but passionate comminity, and these bands embrace that and value their fans. To soak up some atmosphere even more, there is a great little bar attached to the museum and there are several other events like screenings and small concerts going on occasion, making each visit unique. The gift shop is filled with everything a punk heart, young or old, could desire. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, you can also grab some ink here! The price for admission is a bit high, but there is a very reasonable price for an annual membership that would pay for itself with 2 or 3 visits. You can upgrade for tours as well, and that makes it invaluable!! Don't miss out on this opportunity!

  I had been wanting to visit the Punk Rock Museum for a while now and finally got the chance. If you are in to punk rock/alternative music, this is a must see. It is two stories or history and nostalgia. Every turn I took revealed more amzing items. They have tons of olf flyers, pictures, and artifacts. Some of the things that really stood out to me were a bullet containg some of Lemmy's ashes, Milo's glasses, Joe Strummer'slast bag of weed, and so much more. I lucked out that the day I visited because David J (Bauhaus, Love and Rockets, Tones on Tail) was there doing tours. He took the group through the museum telling great stories about the different bands and people on the walls. I couldn't believe I was hearing stories from punk rock royalty. It was an amazing experience. Everyone working there was great and really knowledgeable. I don't remember their names but the guy that does the guitar restorations and the guy from El Dorado Hills who showed me stuff I missed on my initial walkthrough made the experience that much better. Thank you Fat Mike and crew for putting this place together, I will be sure to visit again next time I am in town.
