Everything is way overpriced let's do our part and fight back against greed and price gouging by not giving them our buisness

Nice place to get in out of the heat in a comfy chair and escape from reality for a while

Century Rio Theater is our favorite place to watch a movie! The theaters are clean, the seats are comfortable, and the sound and picture quality are always excellent. The staff is friendly, and we've consistently had great experiences.
Whether it's a family movie night or a date night, Century Rio always delivers a fun and enjoyable experience. We look forward to coming back every time. Highly recommend! 🍿🎬⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The concession area was filthy and I mean really filthy. Soda spilled everywhere, trash everywhere and over flowing in places. Popcore everywhere. I use to work there when they first opened and i never have seen it that dirty in all these years. None of the staff were very friendly at all. Almost felt like zombies or robots, helping you. Next enjoy your show, next enjoy your show. Like a prerecorded message with no smile or sincerity at all, and that's if they even talk to you. I flet like no cared about the quality or experience anymore. On a positive note the popcorn was very tasty, movie was good.
The theater is fairly nice, but there were some issues last time I went that will make me consider not returning to this particular theater.
Firstly the main and most accessible ladies restroom was fully closed off and blocked off. Secondly, my husband and I had two broken seats that did not recline, which sucks considering we paid the same price for our tickets as others near us who were cozy reclining.
Thirdly, and most annoyingly, we went to see the Backrooms, which is a horror/thriller, and some lady brought in a BABY, as well as two other very young children, who were noisy and disruptive throughout a film that should have easily had only adults/teenagers who know how to behave in theaters. It is crazy to me that people are allowed to bring infants into a rated R movie, which absolutely tarnished the experience a lot. We arranged for childcare for our 4 year old to go see this movie together, and were so excited, so it was SUCH a bummer to have the broken seats of the theater as well as baby and child noises in an R rated movie where we would have just expected to not have to deal with someone else's children. Nothing breaks immersion in a film like Backrooms more than hearing random child and baby noises the entire time. The WHOLE reason we saw it in theaters was to have an immersive experience, which this theater was not able to provide. I grew up going to this theater, and my husband insisted on coming to this one because of his own nostalgia for it, but we will be sticking to Winrock theater instead, which has provided consistent experiences with none of the issues I listed ever happening when we have gone even once.
